MrBeast claims to run for US Presidency if they “lower the age” criteria

Recently, YouTube star Jimmy "MrBeast" stated that he would like to participate in the presidential race if the age bar to become head of the state is lowered. The creator expressed his intention in a post on X, made on July 6, 2024. The post has since become a hot topic within the online community, gaining over 5.4 million views in just a matter of a few hours.

MrBeast is currently 26 years old, while the minimum age to run for the post of President of the United States is 35 years. He wrote:

"If we lower the age to run for president I’ll jump in the race."

"I’d probably focus on running the largest economy on earth."

He previously held a poll on the platform, asking users if they would vote for him if he were to stand as a presidential candidate. The results were significantly in his favor, with nearly two-thirds of the two million participants of the vote choosing "Yes".

The content creator has also gained popularity for his charitable contributions in countries around the world. His recent YouTube video, uploaded on June 29, 2024, showcased him partnering up with other organizations and constructing more than 100 houses in many countries such as Jamaica, Argentina, El Salvador, Mexico, and Colombia.
