YouTube's most-subscribed content creator Jimmy "MrBeast" recently responded to a post listing the diverse educational qualifications of his fiancé, Thea Booysen. As per the X post, Booysen has degrees in multiple fields, including law, neuroscience, and psychology.
The two announced their engagement through social media posts uploaded to MrBeast's Instagram and X accounts on January 1, 2025. Reportedly, the YouTuber popped the question on Christmas Day (2024), at the couple's home, while they were surrounded by close friends and family.
Responding to the X post highlighting Booysen's qualifications, MrBeast jokingly stated that his mother may compare him to his fiancée, and subsequently label him a "failure":
"Chill, my mom is gonna think I’m a failure."

Thea Booysen is a massive internet personality in her own right, with over 433,000 followers on Instagram. She is also an author, having written a young adult sci-fi book titled The Marked Children. The 27-year-old was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. Jimmy, a native of Wichita, Kansas, met Booysen during a visit to South Africa in 2022.
The two began dating soon after, and Jimmy has regularly made an appearance on Booysen's Instagram account since, with the posts often showcasing the pair posing together in various locations and at events.
Reportedly, Booysen has revealed that she does not want to have an "extravagant" or "big" wedding day. Instead, the pair are planning a relatively small and intimate wedding ceremony, which will supposedly take place on an island, with only close friends and family in attendance.
Another popular YouTuber, Danny Aarons recently also announced his engagement to his long-time girlfriend, Tennessee Thresher. The engagement took place on the beachside in the Maldives, with Thresher flaunting her baby bump. The pair had announced their pregnancy back in November 2024.
