Beast Games is a reality competition series hosted by YouTuber Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson. It premiered on Amazon Prime Video on December 19, 2024. The show features 1,000 contestants vying for a record-breaking $5 million cash prize. Episodes are released weekly, with the first two now available. The series kicked off with high-stakes excitement and a massive cash reward.

Under two minutes into the first episode, Jimmy made a surprising announcement of a million-dollar giveaway, before the challenges even started. To reinforce the scale of Beast Games the YouTuber made a comparison to other game shows, which usually have a grand prize of a million dollars.

MrBeast's show, on the other hand, not only features a five million dollar cash prize, but also a chance to win a Lamborghini and a multi-million dollar island.

52 contestants voluntarily leave before Beast Games begins to get part of MrBeast's $1,000,000 giveaway

The scene was set. Jimmy offered all 1,000 qualified contestants the opportunity to win part of $1,00,000. All they had to do was press a button on a tablet in front of them and voluntarily eject themselves from the games.

Note that none of the high-stakes challenges had started at this point, the contestants just about made themselves comfortable on the introductory stage.

Nevertheless, it would seem MrBeast's offer intrigued some of the contestants. To tempt participants, Jimmy did some simple math — if 50 people decided to leave, they would walk out with $20,000 each.

Amidst some commotion, and taunting from the YouTuber's team, buttons slowly started being pressed, and the show saw its first walk-outs. As more contestants left, the million-dollar splits shrank, and ultimately, 52 sacrificed their shot at $5 million. Considering this, the overall split came up to $19,230 per person.

The departees rejoiced and seemed satisfied with their decision. Jimmy expressed that most of the remaining 948 contestants would regret not leaving.

The show kicked off with high intensity, and the drama only escalated from there. In the second challenge, some contestants faced a difficult decision — sacrificing themselves to ensure others could advance in the competition.
