YouTube star Jimmy "MrBeast" has made a rather cryptic response to those urging him to "save TikTok" following its ban. For more context, TikTok officially shut down its operations in the United States on January 19, 2025. When users attempted to access the application, the following message appeared, stating that Donald Trump would "work with them on a solution" to reinstate the platform:

"Sorry, TikTok isn't available right now. A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S. Unfortunately, that means you can't use TikTok for now. We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office. Please stay tuned!

Eventually, a well-known verified X user, @kirawontmiss, tagged MrBeast in their tweet, telling the Wichita, Kansas native to "save" TikTok and encouraging him to "do something":

"Save TikTok. Please do something," X user @kirawontmiss tweeted on January 19, 2025.

In response, the most subscribed YouTuber said:

"Can't say anything right now, stay tuned."

MrBeast's tweet quickly started trending on the social media platform, with X user @MobofJoggers speculating that some news is going to "drop soon":

"Oh. The news is gonna drop soon!" X user @MobofJoggers commented.

One community member suggested that the most subscribed YouTuber "collaborate" with Elon Musk to buy TikTok:

"MrBeast should collaborate with Elon Musk to buy it," X user @MAGAVoice responded.

Meanwhile, X user @Mericamemed believed that Canadian investor Kevin O'Leary has a "better chance" of purchasing the media platform:

"Kevin O'Leary has a better chance of buying Tiktok," X user @Mericamemed remarked.

What has MrBeast said about buying TikTok?

On January 13, 2025, MrBeast made headlines by announcing his intention to purchase TikTok to prevent its suspension in the US. He wrote:

"Okay fine, I'll buy Tik Tok so it doesn't get banned."

The following day (January 14, 2025), the content creator claimed that "many billionaires" had contacted him "unironically" after he made a social media post about buying TikTok:

"Unironically, I've had so many billionaires reach out to me since I tweeted this, let's see if we can pull this off."

On January 15, 2025, Jimmy posted a 12-second TikTok video announcing that he had an "offer ready" to purchase the video hosting service after meeting with a "bunch of billionaires."
