YouTube star MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, has reportedly hired the lawyer who exonerated Alec Baldwin in the Rust shooting trial to deal with his ex-employee DogPack404. A Daily Mail report dated August 27, 2024, claims the content creator got Alex Spiro, who has also worked with Elon Musk, to pen a cease-and-desist letter to his former employee.
In July 2024, DogPack404 claimed that he was sent a cease-and-desist letter by MrBeast for his viral exposé-styled video, where he accused the YouTube star of being a fraud and called him out for employing alleged sex criminals.
The video came shortly after the content creator's friend and former employee, Ava Kris Tyson, was accused of grooming and sending inappropriate messages to minors.
MrBeast seemingly employs celebrity lawyer to send cease-and-desist letter to former employee DogPack404, who called him a fraud
The controversy started on July 24, 2024, when DogPack404 uploaded a video to YouTube titled I worked for MrBeast, He's a Fraud. The 53-minute video contains various accusations against the YouTube star, with the former employee claiming that the content creator fakes his videos.
DogPack404 also accused MrBeast of manipulating children and promoting a culture that promotes parasocial relationships between a younger audience and the content creators involved in his videos. This claim was a huge point of discussion because the video was released around the Ava Kris Tyson grooming controversy.
By August 1, 2024, DogPack404 claimed that he had received two separate cease-and-desist letters from MrBeast. The aforementioned Daily Mail report claims that at least one of them was penned by the celebrity lawyer who represented Alec Baldwin in the Rust trial.
DogPack404 has not stopped uploading more content on the matter. Roughly a week after receiving the second cease-and-desist letter, he uploaded a video titled I worked for MrBeast, He's a Sociopath featuring another former member of MrBeast's team named Jake Weddle.
Jake Weddle claimed that the YouTube star knowingly hired an alleged sex criminal who goes by the alias "Delaware."
While the content creator was quick to address the Ava Kris Tyson controversy, he has yet to publicly release a statement about the allegations made by DogPack404. The reports about the cease-and-desist letters indicate that he is going for a legal response instead.
