MrBeast's YouTube channel surpasses official US population estimate in subscribers

YouTuber Jimmy "MrBeast," who started his channel on February 20, 2012, recently surpassed the United States of America population number in terms of subscriber count. As of January 3, 2025, MrBeast's main YouTube channel has amassed 341 million subscribers, solidifying his position as the platform's most-subscribed individual.

The United States Census Bureau's official website for the country's "population clock" determined the number of people in the US to be about 341,156,000, as of this writing. MrBeast's channel, on the other hand, currently holds over 341,157,000 subscribers. This achievement reflects a significant growth trajectory, with the channel gaining approximately 200,000 new subscribers daily.


MrBeast's subscriber count surpasses the United States population

The YouTuber's channel was recently determined to be the "fastest-growing" one for the fourth consecutive year, with over 116 million new subscribers joining his channel in 2024.

Beyond his main channel, Jimmy manages several other successful YouTube channels, each contributing to his expansive online presence. These include "MrBeast 2" with 48.1 million subscribers, "Beast Philanthropy" with 27 million subscribers, "MrBeast Gaming" with 46.2 million subscribers, and "Beast Reacts" with 35.1 million subscribers

Across all his channels combined, he has over 476 million subscribers, representing a 64% increase from about 290 million in 2023. In terms of viewership, the YouTuber's main channel alone has nearly 69 billion views.

Most of his audience is under 25 years old, with MrBeast being significantly popular among viewers who speak English, Spanish, Russian, French, and Portuguese. His viewership is not limited to the United States, where he is based, but global, reaching audiences in various countries.

MrBeast's subscribers are particularly interested in entertainment, challenges, philanthropy, and gaming. His unique content, which often includes expensive stunts, cash prizes, and charitable acts, has a wide appeal, making his channel one of the most popular on YouTube.

His recent venture, Beast Games, a reality TV game show featuring 1,000 contestants competing for a $5 million prize, exemplifies his commitment to producing large-scale, engaging content.
