MrBeast says storytelling in Beast Games will be better in later episodes because of fewer contestants

Beast Games episode 4 was released this week and MrBeast has claimed that the Prime Video show will only get better now that there are fewer contestants. For context, Beast Games technically started with a preliminary round where 2,000 people competed. Only half, the top 1,000, got the chance to progress to the main show on Prime Video, and after four episodes of eliminations, only 60 people remain in the running for the $5,000,000.

Ever since the first episode aired last month, MrBeast has maintained that successive parts of Beast Games would be better than the last. After an X user noted how 940 of the 1,000 contestants had been eliminated at the end of episode 4, the YouTuber claimed that the fewer number of people for the last six episodes would "blow people's minds":

"Now the numbers are down and you really get to know everyone, next 6 episodes are gonna blow people’s minds"

MrBeast says storytelling will get better in the last six episodes of Beast Games

MrBeast has claimed that Beast Games got the best premiere of an unscripted show on Prime Video, reaching the #1 spot in numerous countries. That said, it has also seen a lot of criticism from many media outlets.

The first couple of episodes are quite unlike other reality shows, as Beast Games Episodes 1 and 2 in general feel like a bigger and flashier version of MrBeast's YouTube videos. However, the content creator has claimed that later episodes will address the lack of storytelling.

After Episode 4 dropped on January 2, 2025, the YouTuber posted an Instagram story claiming that storytelling from Episode 5 will get better with fewer contestants in the show:

"Hey how is it going guys, two things. First, Episode 4 of Beast Games dropped this morning. If you haven't watched it, go watch it. I think it turned out really good. Second, Beast Games is starting to a point where there are not as many contestants. Because you know, at the start we had more contestants than any game show in history. And the storytelling in next week's episode, the episode after that is going to start getting so good."

He also claimed that the last three episodes of Prime Video show are the best content he has ever made:

"I can't wait for you guys to watch the episodes. And, 8, 9, and 10, towards the end of Beast Games is the best content I have ever made in my life. And I can't wait for you guys to see it, so hopefully you guys are keeping up with it."

MrBeast's YouTube fame has only increased since the release of his show and recently, his subscriber tally passed the official US population numbers according to the census board.
