YouTube star Jimmy "MrBeast" shared a teaser for his upcoming game show on Prime Video Beast Games on social media websites like X. The much-awaited series is a ten-part episodic show crafted by Donaldson and his team with a $5,000,000 cash prize for the winner out of a 1,000 participants.
The YouTuber announced the release date for the show, December 19, a couple of days ago with a photo of himself sitting on a huge pile of cash, presumably worth $5 million. Now he is hyping up Beast Games with snippets from the show that are highly reminiscent of Squid Games with scenes showcasing hundreds of participants wearing numbered jackets going up to a thousand.
MrBeast claims Beast Games has the "craziest sets in entertainment history" and broke 40 World Records
MrBeast did not hold back while praising his own creation. Along with a 35-second-long teaser for Beast Games, the popular YouTuber made some bold claims about the show. Jimmy has been touting the collaboration with Amazon as the biggest game show in history ever since he announced that he was making the show. And now he has only doubled down.
In the caption for the teaser, the YouTuber reiterated that he has been working on Beast Games for a whole year and how it apparently has the craziest sets in "entertainment history." MrBeast also claimed that the show had broken 40 World Records, writing:
"I spent over a year creating this 10 episode competition series, breaking 40 world records, building the craziest sets in entertainment history, featuring 1,000 players, and a $5,000,000 grand prize!"
MrBeast also talked about how much he has done to make Beast Games happen, stating:
"I poured everything I have into this show, I'll see you December 19th on @PrimeVideo!"
The video teaser has garnered millions of impressions on X, with a lot of netizens expressing their interest in watching it once it comes out. Here are some reactions from enthusiastic fans hyping up Beast Games.
"Callin my local movie theatre right now to rent it out to watch Beast Games," said Greg on X.
"This is gonna be CRAZY," claimed @Nolan.
Some even acknowledged that MrBeast had been keeping a lower profile than usual but had been breaking world records.
"So everyone thought you were laying low and instead you were just breaking records," wrote @urmom_eth.
@urmom_eth's analysis appears to be spot on as Donaldson replied stating that his usual YouTube content had suffered "a bit" due to him working on Beast Games.
Beast Games has also been controversial since it started filming earlier this year, with many participants complaining about the production. In September court documents revealed that a class action lawsuit had been filed against MrBeast's production team and Amazon by a few of the participants who have accused the management of failure to provide adequate compensation, encouraging a culture of harassment on set, false advertising, and more.
