On December 22, 2024, Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, uploaded the first ten minutes of Beast Games Episode 1 on X. The first and second episodes of the game show premiered on Prime Video on December 19, 2024, amid much fanfare as Donaldson had been hyping it up for months.
A day before the show's release, MrBeast announced that Beast Games Episode 1 would have no copyright and would be free to see on Prime Video and Twitch. This means that content creators and streamers would be able to freely react to and re-upload their reactions to the first episode without any repercussions from the production team.
While the episode can be streamed for free on Prime Video, Jimmy has now uploaded the first ten minutes on X citing public demand. The YouTuber encouraged viewers to watch the rest of Episode 1, stating:
"So many of you were asking for me to post a preview of Episode 1, here's the first 10 minutes, it's crazy! Then go watch the rest of episode 1 for FREE on Prime Video."
The video garnered over 500K impressions within a couple of hours.
"Welcome back on X": Fans react as MrBeast uploads the first 10 minutes of Beast Games Episode 1 on X
This is not the first time that MrBeast has uploaded one of his videos on X. Earlier this year, the YouTuber started re-uploading some of his older videos on the social media platform as an experiment. That said, he has never uploaded new content on the website.
Regardless, Donaldson has naturally brought Beast Games to a wider audience by removing copyright claims on the first episode and uploading the first ten minutes on X. Viewers can also watch the first episode on the BeastGamesOnPrime Twitch channel for free.
Many of his fans seemed quite excited about the video on X, with some welcoming him back to the platform.
"Welcome back on X MrBeast," wrote @TheGlobal_Index.
Others celebrated the fact that the YouTuber had uploaded the snippet on the social media platform.
"Holy shit this looks epic lol," claimed @blonderabb1t.
Some even thought that MrBeast should upload everything on X for "higher reach", claiming Elon Musk, the owner of the social media website, would pay him more:
"Publish everything on X - Elon will pay you better, not to mention an instant higher reach." said @tropicaltweets.
Many fans also wanted the YouTuber to upload the first ten minutes of Beast Games Episode 3.
"Can we get the first 10 seconds of episode 3?" asked @elektabuzz412.
While many of his fans have praised Beast Games, critical reviews from media houses like IGN have not been favorable. However, MrBeast has called out critics for giving Beast Games a low rating, claiming only a minority do not like the game show.
