Popular streamer TimTheTatman gave his opinion about multi-streaming on his latest broadcast a day after announcing he will be going live on Twitch and YouTube from now on. Known for playing FPS games such as Call of Duty, the streamer joined YouTube back in 2021 with an exclusivity deal. It appears now that his contract has expired, as he decided to multi-stream on Twitch as well.
The decision to simultaneously broadcast on multiple platforms has received mixed reactions from the community, with popular streamers such as Ludwig publicly speaking against it. That said, TimTheTatman seems to be an ardent fan of multistreaming and while talking about making his return to Twitch after three years, stated:
"Now here we are ladies and gentlemen and you are probably like, 'Tim you are in both places.' And that is correct. I personally think multicasting is the wave. And you know, for me personally, I have been saying this."
The streamer went even further, claiming people starting out in the industry should ideally try to multistream on as many websites as they can manage:
"A lot of people have been asking me, 'Tim where should I stream?' I actually say, 'Bro, you should be everywhere.' Surely, why not? Right, why not?"
"Nothing but positive stuff to say about YouTube": TimTheTatman talks about his YouTube streaming experience as he starts multi-streaming to Twitch
On his first multistreaming broadcast, TimTheTatman took a trip down memory lane and started talking about his past contracts with Twitch before signing for YouTube:
"Obviously, you all remember when Ninja went to Mixer, alright? Lots of moves started happening. [I] Signed exclusive to Twitch, the spot where I started making content. Three years ago, signed exclusive to YouTube."
While addressing his decision to start multistreaming, TimTheTatman praised YouTube, stating:
"And I just want to say, from the bottom of my heart, everyone at YouTube on the streaming end of things that I have met, appreciate and love you all for these last three years. Nothing but positive stuff to say about YouTube and the team over there, the help that we got with streaming on YouTube."
He also noted how fun it was for him to learn the ropes at a new platform when he first moved:
"On top of that, it was fun to kind of learn about how YouTube streaming works. Now, three years ago we signed that."
TimTheTatman is not the only YouTube streamer to recently return to Twitch by multistreaming on both platforms. DrLupo has announced he will be doing the same thing after his exclusivity contract expired a few days ago.
