YouTube star Jimmy "MrBeast" cannot seem to get a break, as fresh accusations recently emerged from an alleged former employee of the creator. The individual (DogPack404 on YouTube) has alleged that MrBeast's videos are inauthentic and "rigged". Further, he stated that his company was responsible for holding "illegal lotteries", and "sold fake signatures".
These allegations have now been refuted by another individual who is currently working for MrBeast. This individual (@chucky on X) runs MrBeast's "Ideas & Thumbnails Team" as per his bio. He stated that DogPack404 had worked within his team, and was fired for "erratic behavior".
In a post made on X on July 29, 2024, the individual addressed all the allegations made by DogPack404 on a point-by-point basis. He stated:
"I quickly want to debunk some of the info in this video since the guy who made it was on my team. It was my decision to fire him for erratic behavior, he worked at the company for less than a month and wasn't an employee for most of the videos he mentions to have knowledge on."
MrBeast employee refutes allegations made against the YouTube star by an ex-employee
In the same post, Chucky began by breaking down DogPack404's claim regarding nepotism practices within MrBeast's video participant selection process. Calling it a "wild" statement, Chucky claimed that there were "hundreds or thousands of people" who had participated in the videos despite having no association with either the friends or family members of MrBeast's employees. He wrote:
"This is a wild statement that can easily be proven wrong, there's probably hundreds or thousands of people who have no affiliation to friends / family of beast employees. Think the 456 people in squid game, or ages 1-100, etc. Jimmy doesn’t know more then like a dozen people lol"
On the other hand, he also talked about the accusations of MrBeast utilizing Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) while producing his videos. Chucky stated that the use of CGI to "make backgrounds look cool" has been disclosed publicly before, in multiple behind-the-scenes videos. He stated:
"It's clearly not a secret. On top of that, we did drive buses in that pit and same with the train that claim we didn't."
Chucky also addressed DogPack404's allegations that all videos involving Mach Hopkins were "fake" and that the latter was actually "an actor" and a "secret employee" working under MrBeast.
DogPack404 had alleged that Hopkins had moved into a multi-million dollar mansion in North Carolina, where MrBeast is situated. This allegedly took place two months before Hopkins appeared in MrBeast's video for the first time in 2023. Chucky clarified this by stating:
"Mack was staying at a friend's house and I’'m not sure how that proves anything or why it’s relevant."
He also remarked on the allegations of the scripting of videos (particularly MrBeast's 100 Boys Vs 100 Girls For $500,000 video), and contestants not being sourced as claimed in some of the videos. Chucky completely denied these claims. He stated:
"This video was not scripted. I was on set for this and there was no bias for who won. He also implies the video is fake because we have some employees on each team. The employees in the video were there to fill in for people who tested positive for covid last minute right before filming."
On the accusations regarding "fake giveaways," he clarified:
"We do not fake giveaways, I have been hands on with some of them and have personally been the person to connect winners with our accounting department to get paid."
MrBeast's upcoming Prime Video show Beast Games recently came under scrutiny for allegedly neglecting the health of contestants and failing to provide basic amenities including food and water.
