Rangesh "N3on" is a controversial Kick streamer currently boasting over 380,000 followers on the platform. The streamer mainly functions within the Just Chatting category of Kick and, as of writing, is its ninth most-watched creator. Recently, he confronted a member of Kick's team and accused them of taking a biased approach to gifting subscribers.
Subscriber gifting is essentially when an individual gifts free subscriptions to other members of a streamer's community. On Kick, the standard subscription price is $4.99 per month. Streamers retain 95% of this amount, earning approximately $4.74 per subscriber.
N3on confronted Kick staff member and Head of Strategic Partnerships, Andrew Santamaria, in a "Kick Talk" call that featured the platform's CEO, Ed "Eddie" Craven. In the call, the streamer alleged Santamaria went into female streamers' chatboxes and donated subscribers in an attempt to woo them potentially:
"You went in girl's chats, gifted them subs, and thought you were gonna get pu**y. You shaved your mustache because one of the girls told you too and you still look ugly as sh*t."
Kick Talk is a weekly livestream hosted by Ed Craven, co-founder and CEO of Kick.com, a video livestreaming platform. The show airs every Saturday at 2:30 PM GMT on Ed's Kick channel, "Eddie."
N3on urges Ed Craven to "fire" Kick's Head of Strategic Partnerships
N3on hailed Kick as the best or "top" website but claimed the platform could improve by removing Santamaria from the team:
"Eddie, I love you so much, just one quick fix, bro I love Kick, Kick is on top, I f**king love Kick. One quick fix, fire this motherf**ker, he sucks."
Kick is a relatively new entrant in the live-streaming arena, having launched in 2022. While it has experienced growth and attracted notable streamers, it does not hold the position of the number one streaming platform.
As of December 2024, Twitch and YouTube remain dominant in the live-streaming industry. Twitch, known for its gaming-centric community, and YouTube, with a broader content spectrum, lead in terms of viewership and content creator engagement.
The streamer went on to say that Santamaria is using Eddie for his money:
"[Eddie], he's milking your money... Stop going in other girl's chats and gifting them subs, you're not gonna f*ck them bro."
N3on soon dropped out of the call claiming he had to catch a flight.
In other news, N3on addressed his latest Kick ban and revealed the conclusion of his 30-day subathon.
