YouTube star Jimmy "MrBeast" has been called out by numerous netizens. On August 4, 2024, Redditor u/Rawr_NuzzlesYou's post on the r/YouTubeDrama subreddit received over 1.13k upvotes, in which they claimed to have "lost all respect" for the Kansas native because of the way he handled recent controversies.

The Redditor accused the philanthropist of "lying and not knowing" about the Ava Kris Tyson controversy. They also expressed their discontent with MrBeast "not taking accountability" for the alleged situation at Beast Games:

"First he lied about not knowing about the Kris allegations, then took down the website with the Discord messages, as well as sending a cease and desist to the person who made that website and another one to DogPack404. Not to mention, how terribly he ran everything with Beast Games and seemingly failed to take any accountability. He's now started tripling down and has turned his comments section and subreddit into 1984."

They further accused MrBeast of being "manipulative":

"It's really disappointing to see and even more disappointing that his average viewer base will probably not learn about how manipulative he is or care about it."

Over 285 community members have commented on the Redditor's post, with one netizen sharing some rather strong opinions about the YouTuber:

"He's always been manipulative, lol, his stupid videos always looked like bulls**t and lies. Not surprised he was doing fake giveaway s**t, f**ked up that he was targeting kids though and using his philanthropy as a shield from criticism," commented Redditor u/CREATURE_COOMER.

On the other hand, Redditor u/fckndgn described MrBeast's decision to make one statement regarding the Ava Kris Tyson situation as a "smart move":

"Smart move on his part. Make one statement on a platform (Twitter/X) where all the outrage is and then carry on as if everything is normal. With his views and engagement (on top of all the money and power backing him) it'll get swept under the rug as long as he doesn't bring more attention to the controversies," wrote Redditor u/fckndng.

What are the recent controversies surrounding MrBeast? Briefly recapped

For those unaware, MrBeast has been in the spotlight ever since serious allegations against Ava Kris Tyson surfaced online. The accusations ranged from her having inappropriate interactions with a 13-year-old to supporting the work of the highly controversial cartoonist Shadman.

One of the matters he discussed in depth was MrBeast allegedly faking his videos.
