YouTube star IShowSpeed linked up with former football player Zlatan Ibrahimovic during a recent IRL stream from Milan, Italy, and the two had some memorable moments. The streamer, known for his jokes and pranks on camera, made the Swede do the viral English or Spanish trend from TikTok. To the amusement of the viewers, the AC Milan legend obliged.
For those unaware, the English or Spanish trend refers to a popular prank where two straight people engage in an impromptu mannequin challenge. Whoever moves from their position first loses.
IShowSpeed decided to do the trend with Ibrahimovic, and both ended up frozen in their seats for several minutes. Naturally, fans were entertained, with clips from the stream going viral on social media.
Many praised Ibrahimovic for playing along, and some dunked on the content creator for challenging the 42-year-old:
"Never challenge Zlatan," wrote a viewer.
"Zlatan is so funny man," chimed in another.
"Zlatan is so competitive," claimed a fan.
Others noted how far the YouTuber had come to be able to do such things with famous athletes on camera:
"His ability to make the most high profile individuals act completely differently is ridiculous," stated an X user.
"Nah speed is an all timer for this," wrote a fan.
"Nahhh man Speed is living the life," said a viewer.
IShowSpeed and Zlatan Ibrahimovic go viral after doing the English or Spanish challenge on stream
IShowSpeed, who is known for his football-related videos, is currently travelling around Europe for the UEFA Euros 2024 and doing IRL streams. Since Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo, whom the content creator is obsessed with, got knocked out of the tournament, he has been to Switzerland, Poland, and Norway.
On his July 9, 2024, stream, IShowSpeed went back to Italy, this time to Milan, and linked up with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. While traveling in a car, the YouTuber sprung the English or Spanish challenge on the former footballer:
"Zlatan, English or Spanish?"
Initially, Ibrahimovic was puzzled by the question and asked for clarification:
"In what sense? To speak or..."
IShowSpeed pressed on, asking him to just answer. When he replied saying English, the streamer said:
"First one to move is gay."
Ibrahimovic was surprisingly quick in getting the point of the challenge, and both of them remained frozen in their seats for more than two minutes.
The content creator was the one who cracked first and confronted the former footballer shouting:
"Bro, really? What, like dude! We sat there for like five minutes, you did not move!"
Ibrahimovic cooly replied:
"I have a bullet proof mind"
IShowSpeed is slated to go to other European countries in the coming days to continue his tour of the continent. There is a good chance he will go back to Germany to watch some of the last games in the UEFA Euro Championship.
