Popular internet personality Nicholas "Nickmercs" has been banned for the first time on Twitch. The update came from @StreamerBans, an automated account on X. At the time of writing, the following message appears when accessing the content creator's channel:
"This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service."
Was Nickmercs recently involved in a controversy?
The FaZe Clan co-owner has been making headlines since June 11, 2024, when he expressed his views on the transgender community. While playing Elden Ring, Nickmercs stated that there was "no such thing as trans people" and that it was a concept "people created."
He remarked:
"There's no such thing as trans people. That's something that you created. So, have fun in your little dreamland, but that s**t is not even real. Let me bring it down for you, all right? P***s - dude. V****a - girl. Done! Don't come in here with f**king trans s**t, bruh! Ridiculous!"
The next day, the Detroit native responded to the backlash for his remarks by stating that he did not need people to agree with him. He also said that he "didn't need echo chamber bulls**t":
"I don't need people to agree with me. I don't need no echo chamber bulls**t. It's the way my wife and I feel. It's the way that my family feels - the people that are closest to me. And we're going to speak our f**king piece. And, that's it!"
Nickmercs recently made comments about Ava Kris Tyson which resulted in the MrBeast crew member's ex-wife to respond
The aforementioned situation wasn't the only controversy Nickmercs was recently involved in. On June 23, 2024, the FPS streamer responded to Ava Kris Tyson's post on X, writing that she should be "ashamed" for leaving her wife and child.
His comments quickly went viral, garnering millions of views. On June 24, 2024, Ava Kris Tyson's ex-wife, Katie, responded to Nicholas' comments by saying that he should "set better examples" as a parent:
"I don't know who Nick is, and I don't care who he is, but as a parent himself, is this the example we want to set for our children? When we don't agree with someone, we bash them? Their families? Drag others' children through the trenches, by spreading false information about their lives? Be better. Set better examples."
At the time of writing, Nickmercs had not responded to his first Twitch ban. Additionally, the reason for his suspension remains unknown.
