Fortnite icon Tyler "Ninja" Blevins' comments about Twitch star Kai Cenat's recent Hardcore Minecraft marathon have gone viral on social media. In a 43-second video posted on X, one of Ninja's friends mentioned how popular Fortnite content creators were taking just a few hours to beat Hardcore Minecraft, while Darren "IShowSpeed" and Kai Cenat took several days:
"Brother, I was seeing some of the Minecraft stuff. Like, Jake is talking about all these Fortnite guys who are beating Minecraft all the way through the hardest level, in like, three hours. Kai and Speed are on day four."
In response, Ninja mentioned that the two-time Streamer of the Year award winner's collaboration with Speed to play Hardcore Minecraft was "pure entertainment." He went on to claim that Cenat knowingly slowed down their progress in the survival game to maintain a high concurrent viewership on Twitch:
"I mean, they're doing it for pure entertainment, bro. Also, it's very much, like... TimTheTatman in his Fall Guys thing where, you know, he was getting hundreds of thousands of viewers because he couldn't get his first Fall Guys win. It's one of those things where it's like Kai is pulling 250,000-plus viewers playing this s**t. It's like, dude, they don't want to win. They don't want to..."
When Ninja said was he "supposed to be offended" by Kai Cenat breaking his Twitch record
This is not the first time that Ninja's comments about Cenat have garnered attention on social media. During a livestream in June 2024, the 33-year-old's viewers informed him that the New Yorker's collaboration with Kevin Hart and Druski had surpassed his most-viewed livestream record.
Ninja responded by asking his fans if he was "supposed to be offended" by the situation:
"Kai beat your most-viewer record last night?' The most-viewer record on Twitch is 3.34 million. Should I make that my title, bro? Am I supposed to be offended, guys? Just put it in sub-mode now."
The Michigan native's comments were deemed to be salty, and on June 15, 2024, Kai Cenat responded to Ninja's remarks, stating that he should not say "certain s**t":
"I don't blame Ninja for being mad at people coming to his chat and saying that and spamming and s**t like that. You feel what I'm saying? Because that could be pretty annoying. But, it's just, like, certain s**t he don't got to say. You know what I'm saying?"
Meanwhile, on July 24, 2024, Ninja weighed in on the allegations against former Jimmy "MrBeast" crew member Ava Kris Tyson by advising people not to DM anyone.
