YouTube star "Ludwig" Ahgren has responded to those blaming him for Twitch streamer Jeremy "Jerma985's" retirement from streaming. For those unaware, during a Twitch broadcast on May 27, 2024, Jerma985 announced that the community should consider him "completely retired." He elaborated:

"You should absolutely see me as completely retired. That's just the way it is. That doesn't mean that I can't still do stuff. I know it feels like we talk about this literally every single time I go live. And, I think, we're not going to do that anymore. I think this is the last time you're ever going to hear me talk about this."

Ludwig discussed the matter during a recent YouTube stream and spoke about Jerma985's involvement at his creative agency, OFFBRAND. The Los Angeles-based personality claimed that people "conflated the fact" that Jeremy retired from streaming because of his work at OFFBRAND.

He explained:

"So, Jerma works at OFFBRAND, right? And many people conflate the fact that Jerma retired with OFFBRAND because they happened to coincide with each other. But some people leave with the interpretation that because he joined OFFBRAND, he retired as opposed to, like, he wanted to retire, so he joined OFFBRAND."

Ludwig then responded to the sentiment that "he took Jerma985" from the streaming community by saying:

"So, I sometimes get hit with, 'Ludwig took Jerma from us,' discourse. And, everytime, I get it, I was like, 'Bro, it's always people who adopted the Jerma life,' who have this take. It's never OGs. No one from the TF2 era is saying that. It's all post-dollhouse, you know, fans. That's all they are."

"He has a perspective on life that I will probably get when I reach his age" - Ludwig talks about Jerma985's retirement from livestreaming

Ludwig continued the conversation, describing his recent interaction with Jerma985. The Mogul Money Live host claimed to have told the 38-year-old that his viewership was "better than ever" and said:

"When I was talking to Jerma, one of the first things I talked to him about - I was like, 'Jerma, frankly, as a big fan of you and your stream, your viewership is better than ever and better than mine some days. If you just want to stream, I would, as a f**king fan of yours, I would love that, and that'd be tight.'"

Ludwig then claimed that Jerma985's retirement from livestreaming was "different," and that he would understand Jeremy's perspective when he reached his age:

"It's different, man. I think he has a perspective on life that I will probably get when I reach his age. You know?"

Jerma985 is a well-known figure in the content creation sphere, best known for his Just Chatting and gaming content. He took the internet by storm in 2021 when he hosted The Jerma985 Dollhouse event.
