Ray "rayasianboy", a Twitch streamer and close associate of internet personality, Kai Cenat, was recently depicted on a mural in Flensburg, Germany. The painting was done by Instagram user Kim Castensen (@kimc_nas), who is known for their detailed and expressive murals. These murals often depict celebrities and other streamers, like basketball player Lebron James or FaZe Clan member, FaZe Rug.
The painter replaced an older mural with Ray's face after his original piece was vandalized.
This situation incited conversations online, as many congratulated Ray and admired the art.
A post on X by user @scubaryan_ had fans reacting to the entire situation:
Some like @TheDukeeee found it hard to believe that Ray had such a global presence:
"Nah, no way Ray is international like this 😭😭😭"
User @royal_bobby24, appreciated the quality of the artwork:
"This is one of the most accurate murals I have ever seen 😭nah bruh is talented, he actually looks like Ray [more] than Ray himself."
Another X user, @YoungboySource, mentioned the influence of Kai Cenat in Ray's current position:
"It's crazy how Kai changed his life in [the] snap of a finger 🔥."
The mural also features the phrase "God did", which was popularized by the two. Here's a video of Ray using the phrase when Kai won an award at the 2023 Streamys.
Overall, the mural could be seen as a testament to how far the streamer has come.
Kai Cenat's impact on rayasianboy's career
Ray first met Kai as a fan, while the streamer was touring Japan as part of a live-stream series. The two met spontaneously in front of a convenience store, and Ray asked for a picture.
Later videos from Kai's Japan series featuring Ray would surpass a million views and fans wanted more of him on the streams.
In August 2023, Kai invited the Taiwanese streamer to visit America and appear on his live stream.
Kai and Ray starred in a short film called "Global Pursuit," inspired by the Rush Hour movies. The film was well-received, gaining over 8.7 million views in a week.
Currently, Ray streams on his own Twitch channel and has over 940,000 followers, averaging about 13,000 viewers per stream.
