In a vlog posted on June 18, 2024, Twitch star Kai Cenat chronicled how he spent time with Kim Kardashian's daughter, North West, at her 11th birthday bash. The 25-minute long video was packed full of content, including celebrity interactions. One such moment was when West told singer Tyla that Cenat liked her on a FaceTime call.

For those unaware, Cenat, who had collaborated with Tyla a few months ago, called her so that she could wish North West on her birthday. However, the birthday girl had other intentions. After the initial pleasantries were over, West said:

"Kai likes you!"

The content creator immediately went on the offensive, countering with:

"No, stop! Stop North. Tyla, it's North's birthday."

As Tyla wished Kim K's daughter a happy birthday, Cenat turned towards the camera to express his frustration and promptly took his phone back. However, West's friends were not done, with one of them claiming that the streamer was jealous because he was friend-zoned:

"You're just jealous she friend-zoned you."

This incident comes days after Kevin Hart made fun of Kai Cenat for getting friend-zoned by Tyla. Regardless, a shorter clip from the vlog has garnered a lot of traction on social media.

Kai Cenat and Tyla's friend-zone story revised

Kai Cenat and Tyla had one face-to-face interaction when the singer came on his livestream back in March 2024 to promote the release of one of her tracks. During the broadcast, the Twitch star asked her out on a date but was rejected.

Tyla specifically stated that she considered Cenat a friend:

"Are you asking me for real? Don't do that! You can't do that on a whole live thing. Um, but we're friends though. Yeah, we're friends."

This clip went viral a few months ago, and even Kai Cenat was surprised that the national news had reported on how he got friend-zoned by Tyla. Since then, the streamer has been mocked by many people, including Kevin Hart, who has appeared on his channel twice.

On Hart's second visit, where he and Druski did a sleepover livestream, the Hollywood actor and comedian brought in a big sign quoting Tyla's words to Cenat: "We friends tho."

Suffice it to say that Kai Cenat has had enough trolling for the incident. Tyla recently opened up about the viral clip on a podcast and even talked about having the Twitch streamer do a cameo in one of her upcoming videos.
