Kai Cenat has become one of the many prominent internet personalities to speak out regarding the controversy surrounding Jimmy "MrBeast's" former crew member Ava Kris Tyson. For those unaware, Ava has recently been accused of inappropriate behavior with multiple minors, and has been alleged to also support artwork produced by controversial cartoonist Shadman.

While opining on the matter, Kai Cenat misgendered Ava Kris Tyson, referring to her using the pronoun "he". To those unaware, she had come out as a transgender woman in November 2023. Talking about the matter, Kai stated:

"Bro, he's weird, bro. Weirdo, weirdo, weirdo... How do you know the age of someone, knowing that you're a grown a** man and still move forward. I still don't understand it, I don't."

A post mentioning Kai's statement has been doing the rounds on r/youtubedrama on Reddit, wherein netizens have been expressing their displeasure with the Twitch creator's repeated misgendering of Ava Kris Tyson.

u/EM208, in particular, believed that many creators were making use of the controversy, which happened to involve a trans woman, as a way to "pile" on trans people. They also mentioned the allegations made against Cody Ko of having sex with Tana Mongeau when she was underage and he was 25 years old.

"Not defending Ava but it’s pissing me off how all of these creators are using this as an opportunity to just pile on trans people and push bigoted fear mongering agendas under the guise of “protecting kids”. Meanwhile they have nothing to say about Cody Ko being a pedophile or any of their other friends/creator peers being gross towards women. I hate the internet man," wrote user u/EM208 on Reddit

Apart from this, many users also utilized the opportunity to highlight Kai Cenat's controversial incident involving Jovi Pena, who had alleged that she was sexually assaulted during Kai Cenat's New Year party at the start of 2023:

"Not listening to sh** about sex crimes from someone who covered for his r*pist friend," wrote Redditor u/PurpleCoffinMan
"Didn’t Kai’s close friend r**e someone at his party? Then after learning about this he didn’t cooperate with police?" wrote Redditor u/MaybeDeo
"What a shock from such a known grifter," wrote Redditor u/Dreamcasted60
"He is transphobic. I'm pretty sure he also calls trans people transformers," wrote user SpecialistAstronaut5 on Reddit

On the other side, some users believed that attention should be focused on the "crimes" of Kris Tyson rather than her pronouns.

"If your priority is over pronouns then a possible crime done... you have no hope," wrote user Sapphiretri on Reddit
"I like how that's what we're worried about here, is him misgendering a p*do," wrote u/Godfatherman21

Kai Cenat's friend Ray was recently banned from Twitch after dropping the homophobic F-slur on stream

Kai Cenat's Taiwanese friend Ray had recently been the recipient of a ban from Twitch a day after the streamer seemed to drop the homophobic "F-slur" on stream:

"Yo, why you're so close to me, bro? F***ing f**got."

Despite no official confirmation being received regarding the reason behind the ban, many have speculated it was his choice of words that led him to become the recipient of the punitive measures at the hands of Twitch moderation on July 24, 2024.

Other celebrities across industries have also condemned Tyson's alleged actions, including Imane "Pokimane", Charlie "MoistCr1TiKaL", Rachell "Valkyrae", and Ryan Garcia, among others.
