One True King (OTK) member and Twitch streamer William "Will Neff" received a third ban on the Amazon-owned platform on September 26, 2024. The suspension was first reported by Streamer Bans (@StreamerBans), an automated X account that tracks the suspension statuses of Twitch streamers (the streamer in question has to be partnered to be tracked).
According to StreamerBans, Will Neff's previous two suspensions came on May 5, 2021 (this lasted for two days) and July 17, 2021 (lasted for three days). At the time of his latest and third ban, Will had over 500K followers to his name.
Why was Will Neff banned on Twitch? Streamer explains
Will Neff is a popular variety streamer on Twitch. After starting his streaming career in 2020, he quickly gained recognition through his involvement in fellow streamer AustinShow's Name Your Price game show.
The streamer has also been part of two major organizations in the online community. Will Neff joined the eSports organization 100 Thieves on November 2, 2021, but later left in 2023. He is currently part of OTK as a content creator, having joined in February 2024.
Today (September 26, 2024), the streamer faced his third ban from Twitch. The ban occurred due to Will Neff hosting a so-called "film class" during which he showcased a movie on stream, violating the platform's Terms of Service.
The streamer has also addressed the situation on his X account, stating that he received a two-day ban and will be unbanned on September 28, 2024. He acknowledged that hosting a film course on stream was a risky move.
He wrote this via his X.com account (@TheWillNeff):
"Hey y’all 48 hour ban. No hard feelings at all. I fully accept the risks associated with teaching a film course on the internet and will do better in the future. Grateful to even have a platform to share my passion for film."
For those wondering, as hinted by the GIF shared by Will, he had screened Shawshank Redemption on his stream. The streamer has a background in acting and theater and has also worked in a few films.
