The winner of a $1 million challenge from a few years ago whose online alias is Manntonice has gone on record defending MrBeast. This comes after a former employee named DogPack404 claimed that the YouTuber fakes content and employs illegal lottery when it comes to paying out the winners. DogPack404 made these allegations in a video titled I Worked for MrBeast, He's A Fraud.
In the video, DogPack404 alludes to the $1 million challenge from 2019 and claims that the money came with other strings attached, such as the winner having to participate in a subsequent video where he would have to spend it in 24 hours.
A few days after the video went viral, Manntonice or Mark stated in a post on X that the YouTuber helped him with financial matters for four years without asking for anything in return.
In the post where Manntonice includes a screenshot of a video on his channel, he pushed back against the narrative that he was wronged by MrBeast, stating:
"I see everyone has been tagging me saying that @MrBeast did me wrong when that’s not even remotely true. In this video I explained that we didn’t invest when Jimmy said we would but I also said that Jimmy for 4 years straight keep me financially straight without EVER asking me for anything. So please stop saying that when he did help me. My experience is not the same as everyone else."
MrBeast's former employee DogPack404 responds to $1 million challenge winner defending the YouTuber
As mentioned, DogPack404's allegations against MrBeast have garnered a lot of attention on social media. The video, which accuses the popular YouTuber of being a fraud, has surpassed 6 million views within a week of its upload. The 53-minute-long video comes at a time when MrBeast is beset with many controversies including the investigation into former team member Ava Kris Tyson over grooming allegations.
However, DogPack404's accusations go beyond blaming one person, as they impact MrBeast's brand as a whole. Manntonice is not the first to speak out against DogPack404, a current employee has also contested the video's claims.
Despite Manntonice addressing the situation with the $1 million challenge, DogPack404 replied to the post on X and doubled down on his accusation that MrBeast lied about the winnings in his videos. The accuser insinuated that Manntonice was forced into buying things willy-nilly:
"However Jimmy did lie about helping you invest and I don’t think he helped you make financially smart decisions either. Especially when he was taking you to car dealerships and consumer electronic stores encouraging you to spend your winnings with little thought."
DogPack404 also questioned how open MrBeast and his team were about the clause, which meant the winner would have to participate in a secondary challenge where they would have to spend the winnings from the $1 million challenge in 24 hours:
"Also I’m curious when you were first competing in the challenges, how upfront were they to you about their plans to do the “Spending $1,000,000 In 24 Hours Video?”."
Manntonice has yet to publicly answer these questions and MrBeast has not addressed DogPack404's accusations either.
