Twitch streamer Jason "Thor," popularly known as "Pirate Software," has accused content creators of organizing "hate raids" against him. For those unaware, Pirate Software has been in the headlines since January 13, 2025, after his Dire Maul North dungeon progression took a turn for the worse when two of his party members and OnlyFangs guildmates, Snupy and Sara, died in World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore.
The situation led netizens and some WoW streamers to confront the former Blizzard employee, telling him to take accountability for his actions. However, Pirate Software didn't think he was wrong under the given circumstances.
On January 14, 2025, a 27-second video from Pirate Software's broadcast was posted on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit, in which he claimed that unnamed content creators had organized "hate raids" against him. Claiming that he had reported these streamers to Twitch, the League of Their Own 2024 award winner said:
"What is against ToS (Terms of Service) is organizing hate raids on the platform, which is what a number of these other content creators have done live on stream, while admitting that they're doing it specifically for content because they want to cause beef with me as a streamer, so that they can get it for content in OnlyFangs. And how to position themselves to cause those types of arguments to happen. Since it was all done live on stream, we've reported that to Twitch. That's it! Right? You're not supposed to do that. It's against ToS. Don't be a piece of s**t, basic stuff, dude. Basic s**t!"
"Everyone played badly" - Pirate Software comments on the dungeon progression that resulted in WoW drama
On the same day, Pirate Software shared his thoughts on the dungeon progression that led to the World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore drama. According to him, "everyone played badly" aside from the healer. Explaining why he decided to run away during the progression, the Twitch star said:
"A lot of it was from a Rogue that was b**ching the entire time about every goddamn thing that was going on, except for his own play. But, the Mage is the one at fault because the Mage is the hero class, and the Mage has to do everything perfectly. Everyone in that play played badly! The Druid butt-pulled an extra pack on the way out. The tank chose to take us in the bad route through the entirety of the dungeon, pulled two packs and the boss at the same time. I, as a Mage, went into the fight with 40% mana. Tried to use my resources, used them poorly, and got myself out when the call was made to run, run, run. Which, by the way, was made by them as well."
The streamer went on to say that OnlyFangs has become a "content guild" that is "built on hate":
"Everyone played badly. In fact, the only person who didn't was the healer. And I explained that in the Twitter post. But no one wants to hear that s**t because they want it to be a double-down, triple-down, a quadruple-down. They want to have a villain. They want to have an enemy. They want to fight that s**t into the ground. They want to send death threats over to people because they're goddamn insane! This guild has turned into a content guild built on hate, not a content guild built on experiences because they're fricking monsters, dude!"
In other news, Pirate Software recently defended his collaboration with OTK (One True King) co-founder Zack "Asmongold" amid the Ashes of Creation controversy.
