Playboi Carti recently reposted a segment of Kick streamer Adin Ross' recent broadcast on his alternate account (@opium_00pium) on Instagram. In this segment, Ross reviewed the latest single released by the American rapper, called ALL RED. While bopping his head to the song, Ross had labeled the release "hard" and also complimented its beat.
In the caption of the Instagram post, Playboi Carti shouted out Ross and stated that he "respected him" for keeping it "real" about his music. He wrote:
"@adinross YOU AINT GOT TO LIKE ME BUT I RESPECT YOU KEEPING IT REAL ABOUT MY MUSIC SOME SH** JUST UNDENIABLE"
"Just texted you bro": Adin Ross comments under Playboi Carti's Instagram post shouting out the former
Adin Ross and Playboi Carti have shared a notorious past, with Playboi Carti coming under much scrutiny in February 2024 for "scamming" Adin Ross. The rapper had been offered $2 million to appear on Ross' broadcast. There was much hype surrounding this broadcast, with the entire Kick website crashing before the stream even began.
That said, Playboi Carti arrived extremely late for their scheduled stream together and then left after just ten minutes without even taking a seat, taking the money with him.
Despite this, Adin Ross responded positively to the recent post by Carti on his alternate account, stating that he had shot the 29-year-old hip-hop artist a text and that he did like him. Further, calling him by his real name, Ross asked Playboi Carti to get on the phone with him:
"I just texted you bro. Hit me I do like you Jordan but let’s get otp"
Adin Ross was also motivated to text the rapper after learning that he had participated in a fan poll over whether the money taken by the rapper from Ross should be returned back or not. Confirming that he had indeed voted, Ross decided to text Playboi Carti and send him a photo of the poll as well.
