YouTube star Rachell "Valkyrae" has responded to those comparing her appearance with Twitch streamer Imane "Pokimane." During a livestream on October 17, 2024, the content creator reacted to submissions on her official subreddit. At one point, Valkyrae's attention was drawn to viewers who said she resembled Pokimane.
In response, the co-owner of 100 Thieves stated that she and Pokimane do not look alike:
"Dude, I am Asian! I am a German-Filipino girl with also wavy hair. I think Poki actually has curly-curly hair. But this is my natural hair. Okay? I don't think Poki and I look alike. I do take it as a compliment because she is so beautiful."

Speculating that people compared her to Pokimane because they are both streamers, Valkyrae remarked:
"But it is baffling to me that I think that, truly, just because we're both streamers, that people are like, 'Oh, you guys look alike.' Yeah, Poki is not even Asian! She's Moroccan! I don't see it."
"Stop insulting the queen" - Valkyrae says being compared to Pokimane is the "highest compliment"
Valkyrae was 46 minutes into her recent broadcast when she responded to her appearance being compared to Pokimane. After expressing her surprise at the situation, the Los Angeles-based personality stated that it was the "highest compliment" being compared to the OfflineTV (OTV) co-founder:
"It is the highest compliment because she is so f**king pretty. But I don't think I look like her. It's also probably because we're both streamer girls, both brown hair. But yeah, I definitely look more Asian. Like, I am Asian."
Valkyrae made a lighthearted comment, saying that those who compared Pokimane with her were "insulting" the latter:
"Y'all are insulting her. Stop insulting the queen! But it is a big compliment. It is weird when people say that. It always catches me off-guard, too. It's like, 'Bro, I'm just a little brown Asian girl."

The YouTube streamer then disclosed that she and Pokimane get "a lot of the same opportunities" to work with big sponsors. She elaborated:
"Poki and I get a lot of the same opportunities. We get a lot of invites to do things together, or sometimes we'll be the only girls invited to this thing. Or sometimes, we'll get a really big sponsorship together. And so, we'll reach out to each other and be like, 'Hey, I'm only going to do this if you do this.' Or, 'I'll only go to that if you go to that.' And, we just rejected an opportunity this morning."
A few days ago, Valkyrae responded to those making controversial comments about her age, saying she was aware she would be told she is "too old to play video games" and "too old to dress up for Halloween."
