Pokimane breaks her silence on the Ava Kris Tyson pedophilia and grooming allegations

Popular Twitch streamer Pokimane has broken her silence on the Ava Kris Tyson pedophilia and grooming allegations after repeatedly being tagged on social media to speak on the matter alongside other female content creators such as Valkyrae. For context, on July 22, 2024, several social media posts and YouTube videos alleged that MrBeast team member Ava had sent inappropriate and sexual texts to a minor in the past.

The allegations caught the eyes of many online personalities with Twitch and Kick streamer Nickmercs calling Ava Kris Tyson out in social media posts and on his broadcast.

Now, Pokimane has chosen to speak on the matter. She wrote in a series of posts on her official account on X that she does not have the details about Ava Kris Tyson's allegations. That said, Pokimane also made it clear that she does not support inappropriate behavior towards minors, writing:

"I don’t know all the details regarding the Ava situation but I wanna make it clear: any inappropriate behavior towards minors is unacceptable, regardless of who you are."

YouTube creators such as Prsim42, Breone, JAMARI, Adrox, and more have uploaded videos in the recent past alleging that Ava Kris Tyson used to send inappropriate texts to a minor a couple of years ago. The allegations of grooming and pedophilia, however, have been used by many such as Andrew Tate to attack Ava's transgender identity by using transphobic slurs.

After noting that any inappropriate behavior toward minors is unacceptable, Pokimane talked about the transphobia targeted towards Tyson. The Twitch streamer claimed that it was a shame people were resorting to attacking a whole community due to the allegations against one person:

"It’s a shame that people will see this as an opportunity to attack the trans community as a whole. one person’s actions does not reflect on every single trans person, so please don’t view it that way."

Pokimane also responded to comments attacking her for not speaking out against Ava Kris Tyson as she did against Dr DisRespect when allegations against the latter were levied by former Twitch employees.

Pokimane snapped back at these comments by claiming that Dr DisRespect had addressed the issue when he admitted to sending inappropriate messages to a minor and that Ava is yet to do so.

"Dr Disrespect made a statement himself w/ the details, ava has yet to do so, and i’ve only watched 1 video. respectfully, a 10 minute commentary video is not the most accurate news source, so i’m being honest in case more information comes out.", wrote Pokimane in a subsequent post on X.
