Pokimane hits back at Sneako after latter defends Dr Disrespect for texting a minor

Popular Twitch streamer Imane "Pokimane" has replied to Rumble creator Nicolas "Sneako" in a post on X after the latter condemned her and fellow creator "Rachell" Valkyrae's negative reaction to the recent controversy involving Herschel "Dr Disrespect".

The post by Sneako on June 26, 2024, insinuated a comparison between the rebuke someone would get for being in contact with a minor versus the "celebration" a woman would get if she were to use online platforms to "sell her body" after attaining the age of consent.

This post went viral on X, gaining over 5.5 million views since it was uploaded. Responding to this via an X post, Pokimane referred to the sexual experiences Nicholas had talked about in the Peer-Peer Podcast in 2021. She simply stated:

For those unaware, Dr Disrespect was accused by Twitch ex-staffer Cody Conners of being banned from the platform in 2020 due to his conversations with a minor using Twitch Whisper, as well as him allegedly attempting to meet the minor during a TwitchCon event.

These claims were partially confirmed by Dr Disrespect himself in a lengthy post on X, wherein he stated that conversations between him and the minor had taken place.

Furthermore, these conversations were deemed inappropriate by Dr Disrespect within the post. Many creators have since discussed the matter on X, sharing their reactions and opinions to the revelations made by Herschel.

Amid the responses to the revelations were those made by Imane and Rachell, both posting the remarks "Yuck" and "Dr Disgusting," respectively, on X. Singling these posts out, Sneako stated:

"Western culture is hilarious. If someone texts a girl 17 years and 11 months old he gets jumped by the whole industry. But if that same girl waits one more month to sell her body on only fans she is celebrated by that same industry for being an independent queen. Clown world."

It is important to note that no confirmation about the age of the minor has been provided by Dr Disrespect or any other credible source yet. Hence, the age of the individual mentioned in Sneako's comparison is not representative of the age of the minor involved in the controversy.

Amidst the backlash Herschel has been facing, many organizations have cut ties with the creator. Most recently, NFL professional team San Francisco 49ers distanced themselves from the streamer and revealed that they would no longer be working with him. Herschel has been a long-time fan of the team and has even represented them both online and in person.
