Twitch streamers Imane "Pokimane" and LilyPichu started the Sweet n Sour Podcast in September 2024. As of this writing, the podcast has 15 episodes released on YouTube. In the most recent episode, the two hosted AriaSaki, a fellow Twitch streamer and former League of Legends cosplayer. In it, Imane revealed that an unnamed esports org barred females from entering their house.

Essentially, Pokimane mentioned that at some point in the past, she was "seeing" a League of Legends player. She said when she tried visiting him at his esports org's house, she was denied entry purely for being a female:

"We were seeing each other and he was a part of this team, and we both lived in LA at the time and sometimes, you know we would want to hang out and maybe he practicing, scrimming, streaming, whatever. When I went to their place and I was like, 'Hey I'm here for this person like we're just going to go hang out after'. They were like 'Okay, but you need to wait outside'. I said, 'What do you mean?', they said, 'We don't allow women in the house'."

"I had to sit on the porch": Pokimane speaks about not being let into an esports org's house for being a female

Pokimane has not publicly dated any professional League of Legends players. She has maintained a private stance regarding her personal life, often choosing not to discuss romantic relationships publicly.

The streamer laughed at the situation in the podcast and claimed that the rule was "funny." She went on to say that she had to wait for her date on the building's front porch. However, she apparently had company, as another player from the org came out and apologized for the peculiar arrangement:

"I had to sit on the porch of this esports organization's home because they did not allow women in the house. I will say though, there was one other player, super sweetie, love him to death, who played with him who was in the home who literally came out and sat with me on the porch, as I waited for the guy... He was like, 'Sorry you have to wait out here... we don't allow your gender inside'."

Moments after, AriaSaki and Pokimane talked about why such a rule may have been required:

"Even to wait, even to wait for someone, insane. ('And I know why.', said AriaSaki), Why because we're just such distractions. ('Yeah, we are the problem always,' remarked AriaSaki)."

Essentially, the two speculated that the esports players could have ended up being distracted due to a female presence in the house, and may have negatively affected their gameplay.

Imane claimed that this mentality is exhausting to hear about:

"Even sarcastically, I'm so tired of hearing rhetoric like that."

In other news, Pokimane sparked concern among fans with a mysterious tweet, claiming she "f*cked up."
