Indian esports and content organization S8ul Esports has won the Esports Content Group of the Year award at this year's rendition of the Esports Awards. The group was nominated alongside other major organizations such as OfflineTV, G2 Esports, Karmine Corp, Sentinels, Fnatic, and T1 Esports.

This forms the group's second nomination and second win, having won the "Esports Content Creator Of The Year" award in last year's iteration of the Esports Awards. They also won the Content Group of the Year award at the The Mobies Awards 2022.

S8ul Esports awarded at the Esports Awards for the second consecutive year

S8ul Esports is a professional Indian Esports organization, borne out of a partnership between two other esports teams, Team SouL and 8bit. The organization is known for competing in titles such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, and Garena Free Fire.

The group has over 1.27 million subscribers on YouTube, with their content consisting of challenges, game shows, and quizzes featuring the organization's pro roster.

Following their win, S8ul Esports member Animesh "Thug" expressed his gratitude towards the Esports Awards organization and the rest of the S8ul content creation team. He also gave a shout-out to S8ul's co-founders Lokesh "Goldy" and Naman "Mortal" for "believing in their vision".

Continuing further, he stated:

"First time could have been lucky, second time was a charm, third time firmly means that the best content group of India is the best in the world. Thank you for having us here."

Esports Awards was the recipient of significant backlash earlier this year in light of the event's relocation to Saudi Arabia following the organization's three-year partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation. This invited resignation from some of the awards' panelists, including PGL CEO Silviu Stroie.

Well-known esports commentator Alex "Goldenboy" had also backed out of hosting this year's awards due to differences between his "personal and professional values" and those of the Saudi Arabian government.
