Twitch and Kick star Felix "xQc" has gone viral on social media after making some rather bold statements about himself. On August 28, 2024, a 20-second clip from his recent broadcast was posted on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit. In it, the former Overwatch pro was having a conversation with his audience and at one point said he has no empathy or morals.
He added that if any of his fans believed he had empathy or morals, it was "their problem":
"Empathy and morals, I have none of these things. None! If you've somehow been tricked into I do have those things, right? Then that's your problem. I don't give a f**k."
Over 435 netizens have shared their thoughts on xQc's video, with Redditor u/RainbowZester commenting that the Twitch streamer "wanted to sound edgy and cool."
"This is the equivalent of a middle schooler self-diagnosing as a sociopath because he wants to sound edgy and cool. Bro is crashing out because he's getting called out for being a hypocrite and is getting upset and leaning into what people are painting him as. Bro, you're a millionaire that sits in his dark room playing s**tty video games. Go touch grass unironically," said u/RainbowZester.
One community member believed that xQc had "fallen off."
"Sad to see him fall off, I was subbed for a long time until he started gambling then he would just non-stop gamble every game that had it as well and criticizing everyone for things he himself has done," commented u/jklol1122.
Meanwhile, Redditor u/StormyInferno believed the French-Canadian personality was "lying to himself," adding that he "knows he has morals."
"Cognitive dissonance is a hell of a drug. He's wrong/lying to himself. He has morals and knows he has morals. He spent several hours yelling about a 17 and an 18-year-old getting together being bad. Coping by pretending not to have any," remarked u/StormyInferno.
xQc was recently confronted by his friend JesseSMFI for allegedly being addicted to gambling
On August 15, 2024, xQc got together with his friend and Twitch streamer JesseSMFI to play games. However, things weren't smooth sailing, as JesseSMFI ended up confronting the Quebec native about his alleged gambling addiction.
xQc appeared upset after hearing JesseSMFI's comments, claiming that he "hated" the word "addicted" because it was "misused." He eventually admitted that he "liked the chase," and enjoyed seeing "big numbers" on the screen.
