Twitch streamer Samantha Rivers has won the esteemed Streamer of the Year award at this year's Esports Awards. She went up against other massive contenders for this year's award, including popular streamers like Nicholas "Jynxzi," Kai Cenat, Ibai, Cody "Clix," Darren "IShowSpeed," Case "CaseOh," Félix "xQc," Marc "Caedrel," Victor "Coringa," and Alexandre "Gaules."

It is important to note that the winners for this category, along with the Esports Content Creator of the Year and Esports Personality of the Year, were decided entirely based on the community vote. Meanwhile, some other categories were strongly influenced by the panelists who consisted of 75% of the final vote, while the public voting only accounted for 25%.

Twitch streamer Samantha Rivers, popularly referred to as rivers_gg on Twitch, is known to be a powerhouse within streaming circles. She holds massive influence within the industry with her whopping Twitch following of 6.3 million. On the other hand, her content is watched for over 630,000 hours on a monthly basis.

Rivers' broadcasts often consist of her simply talking and interacting with her audience. The 26-year-old also hosts IRL content, often taking her audience along as she partakes in intriguing activities of her daily life. She is a seasoned gamer as well, playing a variety of titles including Minecraft, Overcooked 2, Grand Theft Auto V, and Fall Guys.

Notably, Samantha Rivers also won the Streamer of the Year award at the 2023 rendition of the Esports Awards.


The Esports Content Group of the Year award for this year's Esports Awards was won by Indian professional Esports organization S8ul Esports. The organization originated from a partnership between two other esports teams, Team SouL and 8bit. They are known for participating in tournaments of mobile games such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, and Garena Free Fire.
