Twitch star Kai Cenat gave yet another shout-out to EmilyCC, who he had initially discovered while broadcasting alongside record producer and songwriter Benny Blanco. The streamer was left awestruck by EmilyCC's commitment to her streaming schedule, as she has been hosting a subathon for the past three years.
Talking about her in his interview with popular music industry interviewer Nardwuar, Cenat stated that he believed EmilyCC deserved an award for her dedication to streaming:
"She lit... I can't imagine streaming for three years man, and she better get an award! I don't care what it is, man, like... I just want her to get an award. She deserves an award. She needs an award. I think I want to sponsor an award for her, but, I'm trying to see how that's going."
Kai Cenat praises longest subathon record holder EmilyCC in his interview with Nardwuar
Twitch star Kai Cenat found out about EmilyCC when he held a collaborative broadcast with Benny Blanco and they were made aware of EmilyCC's three-year-long subathon. For those unaware, a subathon is a broadcast that is entirely dependent on the incoming subscriptions for its runtime. Each subscription adds more time to the timer, which counts down to the end of the broadcast.
EmilyCC has maintained her subathon since November 2021, making her a record holder for the longest subathon on Twitch. After Cenat was aware of this, he and Blanco got on a Discord call with her, where the two asked her questions about her streaming schedule and habits.
Discussing this schedule with Nadwuar, Cenat said:
"Imagine interviewing some one person or somebody for three years. Imagine you not leaving here for three years, cameras on. Three years, watching you sleep, eat, shower... three years! Sick! Miss Christmas. Miss Thanksgiving. Miss New Years. No love life. Can you imagine that?"
Following her first shoutout from Kai Cenat and Benny Blanco, EmilyCC was seen shedding tears of joy as she accomplished her subscription goal of 10,000.
