"Short countdown to sudden death" - Fans left concerned as Twitch streamer Juliakins seemingly chokes during livestream with Nmplol

Twitch streamer Julia "Juliakins" was alongside Nick "nmplol" during their recent collaborative livestream when the former started choking on a piece of chicken. The clip of the incident begins with Juliakins chewing on a mouthful of food as she and nmplol sat in the front seats of a car.

However, Juliakins eventually started making gurgling noises while trying to chew the food down. Despite the others initially believing it was a joke being played out by Juliakins, they realized that Juliakins was in trouble as she started to cough up and cover her mouth. Thinking she was about to puke, Nmplol then exclaimed:

"Julia stop the- are you okay? You're not okay? You're gonna throw up outside?"

With Juliakins continuing to make concerning gurgling noises while trying to swallow her food, the others in the car became even more concerned. Eventually, a companion of Juliakins, Ronnie, who was sitting in the backseat, asked her if she was choking on her food.

As she made noises to indicate an affirmative response, both nmplol and Ronnie jumped out of the car to help her, but she had fortunately managed to clear up the situation herself by that point. With her no longer choking, nmplol expressed his confusion when she made the noises:

"I thought that was text-to-speech! Someone donated three bucks, I'm like, what is that?"

With the clip going viral on Reddit, many netizens have reacted to the concerning situation. While some shared their own experiences of being involved in such a frightening situation, others talked about how they themselves believed the noises to be a Text-to-Speech donation message.

Nmplol's girlfriend Malena recently announced an "indefinite break" from livestreaming

Nick "Nmplol" and his long-time girlfriend Malena Tudi are known to appear together on broadcasts quite often, hosting Just Chatting streams. In a Discord message, he had revealed that Malena would be "retiring" from streaming and would not return.

Instead, she will be providing behind-the-scenes support to nmplol to help organize his broadcasts. Seemingly, her mother's health issues were the reason behind her deciding to undertake a relatively hands-off approach to streaming instead of appearing on-screen.
