Twitch streamer Hasan "HasanAbi" has responded to those accusing him of exploiting homeless people. On December 28, 2024, a minute-long video was posted to the r/LivestreamFail subreddit. In it, the political commentator spoke to his live audience about his efforts to provide much-needed items to homeless people on Skid Row in Los Angeles, California.
At one point, HasanAbi stated that his efforts were not "exploitative." Expressing his concern about the situation, the content creator said:
"Obviously, it's not going to be exploitative. That's something I'm very worried about and very aware of... so that's what I'm going to be very cognizant of. And hopefully, it won't be, I mean, not even hopefully, we're going there with some people that work every single day with these people. So, it's not..."
HasanAbi's attention was then drawn to a viewer who advised him not to film the event. The comment seemed to upset the Turkish-American personality, as he remarked:
"Shut up! You're woke of the day! 'Isn't it inherently exploitative to film?' No! You dumb f**k! The entire point is humanizing these people. That's the whole point! Can you just shut the f**k up?! Please? Can all of you just collectively shut your stupid f**king woke mouths up?! Is that okay? Can we just shut the f**k up collectively?!"
"You are just demonstrating that you are just a bad person" - HasanAbi responds to those saying his charitable effort for the homeless at Skid Row is a tax write-off
At the 42-minute mark of the broadcast, HasanAbi highlighted a comment from a live viewer, who stated that his charitable effort for the homeless at Skid Row "sounded like a tax write-off." In response, the Twitch streamer said:
"I'm going to try and kill me! I absolutely f**king despise the insanely cynical nature of everyone online. Okay? Insanely cynical nature of every single person online, where they just automatically assume the worst of every other person."

According to him, people who are "insanely cynical" online are demonstrating that they are a "bad person." Claiming that what he was doing was not a "MrBeast segment," the 32-year-old said:
"You are just demonstrating that you are just a bad person. Okay? That's all you're doing. You're like, 'I'm a bad person and I would only do such a thing if there's an additional financial gain for me.' It's not the case! Okay? I'm very aware of how these things look. I'm very aware of what I'm doing. It's not a f**king MrBeast segment. Okay?"
HasanAbi made headlines on December 13, 2024, when he claimed Twitch could sue Steven "Destiny" and Dan Saltman after advertisers allegedly left the platform.
