Kick streamer Adin Ross has a history of taking breaks from streaming, and he was recently confronted by Westcol, a popular streamer from Colombia known for his engaging content on platforms like Twitch and Kick. Westcol talked to Adin about this while he appeared on former Manchester City and Argentinian football team forward, Sergio Aguero's Kick stream.
Like Aguero, Westcol primarily streams Slots & Casino along with a variety of content, including gaming, IRL streams, and interactive sessions with his viewers. The topic of Adin taking breaks was brought up while Adin, Westcol, and their associates sat down to eat.
Coscu, who is particularly influential in the Latin American esports and streaming community, helped translate Westcol's questions. He is also the founder of the "Coscu Army," a collective of content creators and gamers.
With translation help from Coscu, Westcol asked Adin why he takes frequent breaks from streaming:
"Why you [take] sometimes off, from streaming? [Westcol] is asking why you disappear [sometimes]".
Adin responded, expressing that physical and mental health were the primary reasons:
"Sick, stressed, mental break."
Coscu then translated this back to Spanish so that Westcol could understand.
A brief history of Adin Ross' breaks from streaming
The streamer has taken several breaks from streaming, often citing personal and mental health reasons. Notably, in 2023, after moving to the Kick platform, Adin Ross took a month-long break starting in late May 2024.
He mentioned this break was much needed for his mental health. Supposedly, he took breaks due to issues like surgery and controversies surrounding his behavior, specifically his alleged drug abuse problems. These breaks have raised concerns among his fans, but he has always returned, reassuring them of his commitment to streaming.
In the video, Adin Ross opened up about relapsing into his addiction to lean, a recreational drug. He discussed how taking a break from streaming helped him recover and feel better mentally.
"I'm the happiest I've ever been in life, and I needed this break bro, to really find out who I am, and I apologize to [the] people I let down... I'm just going to say it... yeah motherf**ker, I sipped lean again, I said it, alright? But I'm not on that sh*t anymore... I haven't been on that sh*t in months."
Since Adin Ross' last major event with Donald Trump on August 5, the streamer has been slightly inconsistent with his schedule, having streamed only seven times since. From his return to streaming in July until the Trump stream, Adin went live almost every day. Based on previous trends, this change in pace could indicate another break.
