"So out of it all": Fans react as Nmplol congratulates Knut for reaching 300,000 views by reading his breakup tweet

OTK co-owner Nick "Nmplol" and Norwegian IRL streamer Knut appeared together on the former's Twitch recent broadcast. In it, Nmplol congratulated Knut for gaining hundreds of thousands of views on a Twitch clip of him reading out the X post made by Nmplol announcing the end of his long-term relationship with Malena Tudi.

Knut, who seemed to be entirely unaware, was taken aback by the sheer viewership his clip had received. One of the reasons behind the high view count could be due to it becoming a top post on the subreddit r/LivestreamFail, and being one of the first posts breaking the news of the separation.

Despite stating the wrong statistics, with the clip receiving approximately 330,000 views at the time of writing, Nmplol could be heard informing Knut about the viewership he had received, stating:

"Congrats on the clip, 400,000 views. You're welcome."

Bewildered, Knut asks:

"What? What clip?"

Nmplol replied:

"You reading the breakup tweet... Yeah, 400,000 views on your channel! Yeah! Congrats, dude!"

Ironically, a clip was made of this interaction and was uploaded to r/LivestreamFail as well. Redditors reacted to the clip by pointing out Knut's lack of awareness about the situation as a whole. While some took this in a light-hearted manner, other users were quick to criticize him for it.

However, others, such as u/pokecod had some harsh words for the friendship dynamic shared by Nmplol and Knut, stating:

"Serves as a reminder that they all just leech off each other with no boundaries. Very weird friendships these ppl have."

Defending Knut, u/DrownedIce stated that the announcement had already been publicly made:

"To be fair to Knut, the announcement was already made public and took everyone by surprise... If instead, it was a DM, that'd be a different story."

Why did Nmplol and Malena Tudi break up?

Though Nmplol and Malena had become quite popular for appearing on streams together, the former revealed in July 2024 that she had decided to indefinitely retire from streaming and provide behind-the-scenes support instead. The two seemed to be having trouble in their relationship for a while now as well, as specified by Sodapoppin in his recent stream, with him stating that things had been "pretty f**ked".

While no exact reason was provided by Nmplol in his now-viral post announcing his separation from Malena, he did state that the pair had different goals and hence had decided to part ways to pursue them.
