A clip of controversial Kick streamer Demisux where she appears to be mocking Islam is going viral on social media. The short video has garnered major backlash on websites like X, where viewers have called her out for her insensitive comments towards the faith.
Demisux, who recently got into a feud with Twitch streamer FaZe Lacy, says in the clip that she is going to heaven and implies that no Muslim person will get there. This has naturally caused quite some controversy, with the video garnering over a million views after it was uploaded by X user @Clippedszn.
Here are some general reactions, with a majority of the viewers blasting Demisux for her take and calling her shameless:
"she'll probably blame this one on being drunk as well so shameless," wrote @yoxics
"So she’s homophobic, racist and now hates Muslims," said @Sneak0o
"Lmao what she was thinking before saying this," stated @HoesLuvSouL
"No one should be targeted or demeaned based on their beliefs. It's crucial to foster respect and empathy in all our interactions," wrote @iSeekTruth007
That said, some have defended her right to say what's on her mind, citing free speech.
"Based lol why are the free speech advocates crying?" said @7ABOUTSEVEN
What did Kick streamer Demisux say about Islam?
As mentioned, a clip from Demisux's recent Kick stream was shared by X user @Clippedszn on July 28. In the short video, the content creator can be heard making a series of remarks on Islam and people who follow the faith. At the start of the clip, she reads a chat message calling her out for mocking Muslims. However, the Kick streamer states that she doesn't care:
"'Mocking Islam ain't it?' Wallahi, wallahi, I don't care."
In a later part of the stream, the streamer talks about how she is going to heaven and that she will not meet followers of the religion there:
"I am not going to hell, I am going to heaven. I am going to heaven, I am going upstairs. Who am I going to see there? Not all you Muslims."
Naturally, Demisux, a former girlfriend of popular Kick streamer Adin Ross, has received a lot of flack for her take on Islam. Kick, on the other hand, has yet to take action against her for her statements. According to Guideline 4 on Hate Speech on their official website, creators promoting or spreading discrimination related to religious beliefs are subject to penalties.
