Streamers Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed have started their Minecraft Hardcore journey and as of this writing, the duo are more than 75 hours in with over 30 deaths. It is safe to say that Kai and Speed have been struggling throughout, voicing frustration, and even fighting each other because they haven't been able to complete the game.
FaZe members Nick "Lacy" and Rani "Stable Ronaldo" took it upon themselves to beat Minecraft on Hardcore as well, and the two surprisingly managed to beat the game mode in under six hours.

During the final moments of their gameplay, Ronaldo perished, but he went over to Lacy's room in the FaZe house and coached his gameplay.
"Heal yourself, last shot, you only have one arrow, you hit this, we f**king beat the game! ('Are you sure?', replied Lacy) Yes! Yes! Aim! Aim!... Ready?"
Other members of FaZe including Adapt, Silky, and JasonTheWeen joined them to celebrate their win:
"We did that sh*t!... I did that sh*t!"
Lacy and Ronaldo timed their Minecraft Hardcore expedition with Kai and Speed, to prove who the better gaming duo would be. They took the challenge upon themselves and considered Kai and Speed their competition, eventually proving that they were the better duo in terms of gameplay.
Unlike IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat, Stable Ronaldo and Lacy beat Minecraft Hardcore with just three deaths
Lacy and Ronaldo were hyper-focused throughout their Minecraft gameplay, especially because they considered Kai and Speed their competition. The duo would regularly check in on Kai's Twitch stream to see how far they had progressed in comparison.
With just three deaths across their gameplay, the two managed to slay the Ender Dragon and beat the game on Hardcore. For reference, at the six-hour mark of Kai Cenat and Speed's gameplay, the duo had already restarted seven times and, at this mark, they were still farming resources.
Lacy had to take a majority of the burden during the final stage of their gameplay since Ronaldo had already died. Regardless, Lacy came in clutch, displaying impressive skills to make it through.
Ronaldo and Lacy reached the final stage of Minecraft in about five hours, whereas Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed took more than thirteen hours to reach the final stage. Unfortunately, the duo fumbled and had to restart again.
In July 2024, members of the FaZe clan including Stable Ronaldo, Silky, Plaqueboymax, and Lacy tasked themselves with beating Minecraft on Normal. Unfortunately, they were unable to complete the game due to some technical issues and had to abandon ship about 20 minutes into their gameplay.
Kai and Speed's marathon does not seem to be going as well though, as after 71 hours of playing the game IShowSpeed's Minecraft dog killed Kai Cenat, causing him to lose it.
