Controversial Kick streamer Yousef "Fousey" is known for making outrageous statements, having breakdowns, and going on emotional rants on his live streams. In 2023, he had a mental episode while live, leading to the authorities getting involved and ultimately arresting him. The streamer enjoys candid speech, and typically, if he has to get something off his chest, he will not hesitate to say it.
In an October 12 livestream, Fousey discussed how certain big streamers nowadays do not invest enough into their content despite earning so much while "sitting on a desktop".
Fousey essentially stated that some streamers can become complacent and avoid putting added effort into their content:
"Tweets go viral about you guys making fifty million dollars a deal, so your next stream to celebrate is sitting on a desktop? You say you respect your fans right? Stop posting pictures of the cars you're buying, of the houses you're buying, of you're new outfits and start putting money behind your content."
Fousey also mentioned that he has been in the content creation sphere for a while, claiming that he is the "Grandfather of The Internet", and he also suggested that streamers be more active and start IRL streaming:
"So when I tell y'all, as an adult, 'The Grandfather of The Internet'... Stop posting pictures of your Lamborghinis... and spend some f**king money on your content, get your a*s up of that couch do an IRL stream."
"The name in my head is Pokimane": Fousey seemingly calls out Twitch streamers for being against the Kick crowd
Midway through the rant, Fousey used examples to elaborate on his points. One such example used was of Imane "Pokimane", one of Twitch's largest content creators:
"The reason I say desktop streams, and I'm not talking about Adin, stop saying Adin. Really, the names in my head right now is Pokimane. Like that group. The one's who feel like, 'We are the upper echelon', 'We don't f*ck with Kick streamers', 'We don't f*ck with that crowd'."
Large Twitch streamers have spoken about being against Kick and its structure. Recently, streamer Ludwig suggested that Kick tends to attract streamers who are more prone to disruptive behavior.
