Linus Sebastian, aka "Linus Tech Tips" (LTT), has responded to the ongoing controversy involving fellow tech channel Steve "Gamers Nexus" (GN). Before delving into Linus' latest response, here's a summary of the situation so far - Recently, LTT accused GN of not following journalistic decorum, including not giving LTT any prior notice (right to reply) of the allegations he had made:
"Everyone is human, and we all make mistakes, but I believe that for you to become the journalist you aspire to be, there are some errors in both your approach and in your coverage that are large enough to merit correction."
In response, Gamers Nexus posted an elaborate report (January 21, 2025) in which he posted screenshots accusing LTT of plagiarism. For instance, in one section of the report, GN alleged that LTT's script for the video about the EVGA/NVIDIA split closely mirrored his report:

On January 24, 2025, Linus Tech Tips opened the WAN show, discussing and responding to GN's report. In the segment, Linus said:
"The core issue has not been addressed at all. Because of ethical and process errors, Steve published false and damaging information about a competitor. Right of reply matters, both because it is essential for accurate reporting and because scandal travels much faster."
"He got it wrong, and caused a bunch of damage" - Linus Tech Tips responds to Gamers Nexus' latest report
The ongoing beef between Linus Tech Tips and Gamers Nexus has seen further updates. The latest development comes from LTT, who issued a response calling out GN during the latest WAN Show. Linus said:
"This is so much worse now, faced with the unavoidable fact that he got it wrong and caused a bunch of damage with his actions. Steve has outright refused to apologize, correct, or retract any of his false statements."
For further context, one of GN's allegations that LTT recently refuted is that LTT knew about the Honey extension scam but chose not to make a video about it. LTT has since provided context explaining why he did not create such a video.
Additionally, LTT also criticized GN's first video involving the Billet Labs situation. Linus stated:
"I'm deeply saddened by the virality of Steve's first video. Because of that, many will never hear the truth, a fact that is worsened by Steve's ongoing issue to make any corrections."
Linus Tech Tips also highlighted that during the controversy surrounding Billet Labs, he issued a statement that included words like "sorry." He pointed out that Gamers Nexus did not issue any similar acknowledgment or apology in his handling of the situation.
