Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat is no stranger to creating viral-worthy scenarios and events. His latest creation, Little Ballers Association (LBA), is a spoof of the NBA and a fictional basketball league involving children (and himself). Despite being drafted last for his team (New York Skyscrapers), the streamer won the trophy in the final against Pheonix Towers.
The entire event naturally ended up being quite amusing. Today (October 4, 2024), popular American sports television personality Stephen A. Smith took to ESPN to lay down some pointers, comically indicating why Kai Cenat is the G.O.A.T of LBA. According to the graphic presented by Smith, Kai is the:
"5. Tallest in LBA history, 4. all-time scoring leader, 3. had Rubi Rose pop out, 2. never ducked matchups, 1. Unbeaten in LBA Finals."
This wasn't the first time Stephen A. Smith trolled Kai. After being drafted last, the sports broadcaster took to his socials to take a jibe at the streamer, stating:
"You think you got a game, you think you got a game. You thought you were going to be the number three overall pick, didn't you? You thought you were going to be number three!"
Has Kai Cenat retired from professional basketball?
Before joining and playing in the Little Ballers Association (LBA), Twitch streamer Kai Cenat announced that he was stepping away from streaming to focus on pursuing a career as a 'professional basketball player.'
Despite his successful run in his own competition, the AMP member reversed his decision to quit streaming. However, the streamer will now be stepping away from pro basketball.
Speaking with the presenters after the final, the streamer stated:
"I'm not going to lie, I'm a**. (The presenter asks if he is officially retiring from playing pro basketball) Yes. I'm going back to streaming and I'm glad I'm going back to streaming because I got a new goal I gotta get and I gotta start tomorrow. Imma start this week or something."
The streamer appears to be gearing up to return to streaming full-time after facing some challenges in his basketball career. Kai Cenat recently hosted a marathon stream of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, during which he transformed his entire setup to match the game's theme.
