On November 23, 2024, John "Tectone" announced on his Twitch stream that he had resigned from the OTK streaming organization. The streamer has been a part of One True King since 2021 as a content creator, and has seemingly left the org after a stint of three years. The clip of him stating that he had resigned from OTK has gone viral on social media.
The news comes days after Tectone's former girlfriend Pinkchyu accused him of sexual abuse. Readers should note that John has denied the allegations in a post on X, claiming Pinkchyu is lying.
His name was removed from the organization's official website on November 22, 2024. A day later, he explained that he left One True King.

On his latest Twitch stream, Tectone explained his reasons for resigning from OTK. He claimed that he chose to not renew the contract because it gave him a "weakness":
"Let me explain to you why I left OTK, why I resigned from OTK. The reason why I resigned from OTK, why I did not renew my contract with OTK that expired on November 1, 2024. The original contract was for two years with an additional option to extend by an additional year, thusly completing my three years at OTK. The reason why I chose to not renew with OTK is because it gave me a weakness."
While he did not bring up the controversy surrounding the allegations of abuse from Pinkchyu, Tectone expanded on what he meant by "weakness". The streamer claimed that he does not want other people to get affected by his "dumb" actions, and called himself a rage-baiter and a troll:
"I realized, I really don't like having weaknesses. That weakness is I don't like how people can go after other people when I do some dumb sh*t as a guy who does a lot of dumb sh*t, a lot. I like not having to worry about other people and how my actions affect them when I do some dumb sh*t. At the end of the day I am always going to be a troll, I am always going to be a rage-baiter, and it is what it is."
That said, Tectone had only good things to say about OTK. He also joked that he was the "punching bag" of the group, and claimed they would have to find a new one as his three-year stint with the organization was over:
"I might be one of the only few people left on Earth that actually likes OTK. I think they are doing a great job of turning things around. But unfortunately we live in an era where people look to find offence, and let's be real, I was the butt of every joke for three years. Now they're going to have to find a new punching bag. So good luck!"
Tectone is not the first member to leave OTK, considering many streamers have left the organization since it was founded in 2020. Last year, BruceDropEmOff resigned after much controversy as well.
