Streamer Pinkchyu, a Twitch content creator and cosplayer, has been at the center of a public dispute with her ex-partner, Tectone, a well-known streamer previously affiliated with OTK (One True King). In November 2024, she shared allegations of emotional and psychological abuse experienced during a past relationship. Based on the timing and context, Tectone stood out as the individual in question.

Pinkchyu described feeling manipulated, degraded, and pressured to change her appearance, which she said significantly impacted her self-esteem. Tectone responded with a livestream and social media posts vehemently denying the accusations.

Recently, on December 1, 2024, the streamer opened up about her autism diagnosis on X:

"Can’t believe I have to clear this up. I have autism."

What form of autism does Pinkchyu have?

Pinkchyu went on record to educate her audience and clarify a few things about her Asperger's condition. For context, Asperger's became a part of the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in 2013 and is characterized by unique social, communication, and sensory traits.

In her post, she expressed disappointment in people assuming Asperger's is curable via medication:

"I have autism/Asperger’s. There is no medication to fix it. My doctor has told me to get friends that are supportive. That’s how you 'fix' it. Sad to know some people think we need to be medicated instead of learning to understand us."

People with Asperger's may have difficulty understanding social cues, prefer routines, and focus intensely on specific interests. While they might struggle with flexibility or interpreting emotions, they often excel in analytical thinking, attention to detail, and creativity.

Currently, no particular cure has been found for Asperger's. It is a lifelong neurodevelopmental difference that affects how individuals process information, communicate, and interact with the world. That said, interventions like speech therapy, social skills training, occupational therapy, and individualized educational plans (IEPs) can greatly improve quality of life.

The streamer elaborated on "fixing" the disorder in a follow-up post:

"Want to add though! There are some medications that help with the symptoms, especially for children, but you can’t 'fix' it. Learn to be understanding, I feel that’s what people need the most."
