"That is dishonesty": Tubbo accuses Dream of selectively using clips from his livestreams to "change the narrative"

Minecraft YouTuber and former Dream SMP member Tobias "Tubbo" has made a post on X accusing fellow Minecraft YouTuber Clay "Dream" of selecting parts of his broadcast to react to on his livestream in an attempt to "change the narrative".

To those unaware, Dream, Tubbo, and YouTuber TommyInnit have been feuding over the past few days. Meanwhile, Clay had been facing backlash for sharing a meme that uses the R-word to describe TommyInnit's fanbase.

After receiving much backlash for this, the American YouTuber eventually decided to address the entire feud on his own Twitch broadcast, in which he reviewed Tubbo and TommyInnit's reaction to the drama. Accusing Dream of partaking in the very thing that the YouTuber seems to "complain about," Tubbo wrote:

"Just for him to only use clips of me giving him that BOD (benefit of the doubt) and removing all my critique to change the narrative to make himself look better. That is dishonesty and the exact same thing that he himself complains about ."

Dream shared the controversial meme when there was an ongoing feud between Kick streamer Félix "xQc" and TommyInnit. After TommyInnit had called xQc "cringe" for his interaction with Donald Trump in Adin Ross' livestream last year, the Canadian streamer eventually clapped back.

In response to the backlash received by Clay for the use of the meme, he made a comment on Reddit, which was eventually reacted to by Tubbo in a broadcast. As admitted by Tubbo in his post on X, he had given the benefit of the doubt to Clay multiple times in the broadcast. The streamer claimed these segments of the broadcast were selectively used by Dream in his own Twitch broadcast to portray a different perspective:

"I gave the benefit of a doubt to dream so many times when reacting to everything he said as well as acknowledging my own personal biases towards my closes friends."

TommyInnit had also specifically made a YouTube video calling out Clay for using the R-word in the meme shared by him. Within the video, TommyInnit criticized the Minecraft YouTuber for his nonchalant usage of the word and stated that doing so is "impossibly immature and reckless".
