YouTuber Demolition Ranch, real name Matt Carriker, has responded after former US President Donald Trump's shooter was found wearing his merch during the incident at the Pennsylvanian rally over the weekend. Reports note that the 20-year-old, who ended up killing one of the spectators in the audience and injured a few other rally-goers, was wearing a T-shirt with Demolition Ranch insignia.

With over 11 million subscribers, Demolition Ranch is a Texas-based YouTuber who primarily makes content surrounding firearms. He reviews rifles, pistols, and other weapons on the channel.

The content creator was distraught after finding out that the shooter at Donald Trump's rally was wearing a Demolition Ranch T-shirt. He addressed it in a five-minute video titled The Trump Shooter was Wearing My Shirt....

He stated:

"The shooter who tried to assassinate Trump was wearing merch from my channel, wearing a Demolition Ranch T-shirt. And that sucked, to see that. Yeah, that was rough."

Demolition Ranch continued his address by claiming that his T-shirts were popular worldwide:

"This T-shirt, we also own a T-shirt company and it is based out of here my hometown and my friends work there. We make these shirts, we print them here in Texas and ship them all over the world. I have seen my shirts in every continent. I got a picture of a guy wearing my shirt in Antarctica."

He added that he wishes he could vet people buying his merch:

"So, we don't vet the people who buy our shirts, obviously. It would be impossible, just like how Nike doesn't vet people who buy their shoes. I wish I could, I would love to keep people like that from buying, wearing, or being associated with that article of clothing. I wish he couldn't get a shirt."

Comparing his merch to Nike shoes, the content creator revealed how it felt to see the Donald Trump shooter's name next to his on the news:

"But it happened, and I think the difference between wearing a pair of Nike shoes and a gunman wearing my T-shirt is that this brand is much more personal to me than Nike is to its executives. And so, to see my name next to the shooter's name, oh it sucks. And I wish I could keep that from happening."

The YouTuber distanced himself from the actions of the attacker, claiming that his channel will never stand for hate or violence:

"No matter what side you are on, politically, none of us want violence. This channel was never meant to incite violence or hate. It never has, it isn't, and it never will be a channel that does that. I don't want any violence or hate anywhere around me."

In related news, YouTube and Kick streamer Destiny is currently under fire after Elon Musk removed his comments about the shooting at the Trump rally, calling it inappropriate for advertisers on X.
