Twitch streamer and political commentator Hasan "HasanAbi" had an unusual interaction with a viewer while in Chicago traffic. This happened while Hasan was at the Democratic National Convention, which was held in Chicago from August 19-22, 2024. Vice President Kamala was formally nominated for President by delegates at the 2024 DNC.

For the first time, 200 independent creators were invited to participate, aiming to broaden the convention's reach and impact, and Hasan was one of them. On the convention's final day, HasanAbi had his own space at the arena, to interact with his chat live, answer questions, discuss politics, and interview other news broadcasters and politicians.

Soon after, Hasan was unfortunately asked to leave his spot, so he decided to catch an Uber, to react to the convention live from his hotel room. While in the Uber, a car pulled up beside him and the driver had a question:

"Is that Hasan with you? Is that Hasan?"

Hasan was visibly confused at this interaction, and he asked the driver to keep going:

"Bro keep going, just keep going... That's f**king insane."

The driver agreed and ignored the viewer's questions. Hasan reached his hotel room and broadcasted himself live. At one point his stream had over 65,000 live viewers.

A brief history of HasanAbi's interactions with stream snipers

On May 4, 2023, Hasan was interrupted live on stream by Matan Even, a YouTuber known for trolling large events and celebrities. He caught Hasan at a Writer's Guild protest with a sign that said: "We Love Landlords."

Hasan ignored the entire interaction and swiftly moved locations.

In March 2024, during an IRL stream in Australia, HasanAbi was approached by a stream sniper who accused him of drinking Coke Zero, a product they claimed was to be boycotted. The sniper demanded that Hasan stop drinking the product on stream and he responded calmly, saying he didn't know it was that serious.

Hasan has also been stream-sniped while playing video games like Valorant on stream. Snipers likely watched his stream, identified his in-game username, and then joined the same match to target him.

In other news, Vice President Kamala Harris has decided to join Twitch, amidst the 2024 US Presidential elections.
