FaZe Clan CEO Richard "FaZe Banks" has given a minor update of fellow creator and Twitch streamer Kylie "Sketch" (or "TheSketchReal"). For those unaware, Banks was one of the individuals who took a public stance against those criticizing Sketch following his OF controversy. Sketch even thanked him, stating that he was considering ending his life but for him (and his friends and family).
Earlier today (June 13), FaZe Banks took to his official X.com account to post a screengrab of his recent text exchanges with the streamer. Despite the serious nature of the controversy that unfolded last week, the streamer appeared in a jovial mood.
Banks declared having a new face tattoo, to which Sketch gave a rather ironic response, comically labeling it "gay." Read the chat here:
"Been checking on Sketch every day, dw (don't worry) he good."
What is the controversy involving Twitch streamer Sketch
On July 7, a YouTuber named Pocketbook uploaded a video titled "The Real Sketch: The Untold Story of Jamie Mar." In the video, he alleged that the streamer previously worked as an adult content creator.
Since then, numerous screengrabs from the video quickly went viral, showing the streamer in suggestive positions. Initially, it remained speculative, but later that day, Sketch streamed on his Twitch account to clarify that it was indeed him in his past. He said:
"That was me. That was me, it's okay. Two years ago, I did some stuff. I am sorry if you have seen some of that stuff. You know, I am a changed person."
He also thanked FaZe Banks for his constant support (Sketch was living in the FaZe Content house at the time). He said:
"Plan A was, I will say candidly, it was to eat... probably call it quits if this ever came out. But some people saved me. Shoutout Banks, shoutout my parents, shoutout you all."
Since his July 9 stream, the streamer has yet to livestream. With the controversy blowing up on all corners of the internet, he would likely take a few days off before returning to his content creation schedule again.
