Popular podcaster Livingston "DJ Akademiks" has responded to Twitch streamer Maxwell "Plaqueboymax's" criticisms. On January 24, 2025, videos of DJ Akademiks interacting with a 15-year-old Twitch content creator named NourGxd went viral on social media. In the videos, the podcaster was heard engaging in a slightly inappropriate conversation with NourGxd, as he stated:

"Yo, if Max said he wanted to try f**king a dude, will you let him f**k you? (Nour responds, 'No!') Why not? Yo, suppose he's like your bro, 'Listen, you always wanted me to be next to you, now I can be inside of you.'"

At one point during a Rumble livestream earlier today (January 25, 2025), DJ Akademiks addressed the controversy and said that he didn't need to be featured on the broadcasts of prominent content creators such as Kai Cenat, Adin Ross, and Plaqueboymax.

While claiming people were "kicking his back," Livingston stated that Plaqueboymax would no longer be featured in his content:

"I swear to god, and I never swear to god, I never need to be on Kai, Max, Adin, nobody's stream! I don't need none of nobody who streams! I got my own thing going on! The f**k! Some of the s**t I've seen pisses me off! I'm like, bro, I'm over here f**king with these n****s! Supporting them! N***a, yo, I told Ray today, I said, 'Bro, yo, f**k that! No more Max clips on my page.' I'm supporting these n****s, and these n****s is kicking my back! I get nothing from it."

DJ Akademiks then explained why he supported streamers such as Plaqueboymax:

"I don't benefit if Max goes up. Bro, I'm supporting them because I like these guys. I support them because I'm in the streaming community. I want him to go up."

Plaqueboymax asks DJ Akademiks to take accountability for the inappropriate conversations he had with Twitch streamer NourGxd

During the same Rumble livestream, DJ Akademiks spoke with Plaqueboymax about the controversy involving Twitch streamer NourGxd. After the latter clarified what he said about the situation, Plaqueboymax asked the 33-year-old to be accountable and apologize to NourGxd:

"Now look, once again, you just said a lot of s**t and I understand. Can you just take accountability and apologize to Nour? That's all. I get he was in the court, but please! Then we could call it off and it's whatever. I apologize for not calling or texting when that s**t happened."

In response, Livingston stated:

"Listen, that conversation that people on that clip is not supposed to be a normal conversation between anybody who is of the age and somebody underage. I was on some lil bro s**t..."

DJ Akademiks made headlines on January 15, 2025, when he claimed that Kick streamer Adin Ross donated $10,000 to Kendrick Lamar's cousins' grandparents.
