On August 21, 2024, Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan's homes in Romania were raided by DIICOT amid fresh allegations accusing the Tate brothers of trafficking minors and money laundering. In its statement, the country's anti-organized crime prosecuting unit claimed the raids were involving:

“A criminal case regarding the commission of the crimes of setting up an organized criminal group, trafficking of minors, human trafficking, sexual intercourse with a minor, influencing statements and money laundering.”

After news of the recent raids broke on social media, many netizens were surprised at the Tate brothers' homes being raided twice with no concrete evidence to prove their wrongdoings. One person tweeted:

Many shared this sentiment, wondering if the raids were a diversion tactic to silence them, especially after Andrew Tate's comments regarding Israel.

"Where are these allegations coming from lmao they just want to silence them," one person tweeted.
"Romania thinks they can raid the same house twice and still find something after the first one failed," another person said.
"Two days after Andrew Tate said Jews controll the world, police launched a new investigation at his home," someone else speculated.
"Right after they called out them people," another user added.

Others wondered what the authorities would potentially find inside Tate's houses.

"They did them boys like they did Diddy wonder what they will find in there," one person wondered.
"These guys never get a break from the Romanian Police," someone else added.
"It's because they exposed what the real "matrix" is..." another person tweeted.

Andrew Tate, his brother Tristan, and two women were arrested in December 2022 for sex trafficking, rape, and organized crime charges involving sexual exploitation of women. The brothers spent several months in jail and were released on house arrest in March 2023.

They were later allowed to move freely within Romania, and on July 5, 2024, a court ruled the brothers were free to travel to any country within the 27-member European Union. The brothers are currently awaiting trial; however, a date for the trial has yet to be scheduled.

New allegations involving minors surfaced after Andrew Tate's homes were raided on Wednesday morning. Mateea Petrescu, a representative for the Tate brothers, confirmed the latest DIICOT raid in four of their homes in Bucharest and Ilfov county. In their statement, they did not make any comments regarding the recent allegations involving minors.

“Although the allegations in the search warrant are not yet fully clarified, they include suspicions of human trafficking and money laundering,” Petrescu said.

According to AP News, Andrew Tate repeatedly denied all allegations against him, alleging the raids were a political conspiracy to silence him on his platforms. Tate, a self-proclaimed misogynist, has a global platform reaching millions of people around the world.

The controversial social media personality has over 9.9 million followers on X and is known for his misogynistic views and hate speeches. The 37-year-old former professional was banned from several platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, for his contentious commentary.
