Shortly after Twitch star Kai Cenat claimed that he got several calls about a collaboration for the Kamala Harris presidential campaign, Charlamagne tha God has called out the staff member who contacted the streamer. A clip of the podcast host flaming the decision on a recent episode of Breakfast Club has gone viral on social media.
For the unaware, Cenat, arguably the biggest content creator on Twitch, recently expressed frustration after he was allegedly contacted by Kamala Harris's campaign staff and the Secret Service for a possible on-stream collaboration.
Charlamagne tha God did not mince any words in criticizing this move on his podcast and claimed that the person trying to contact the content creator should be fired:
"Kai, hit me and tell me who sent that text message because whoever on Vice President Kamala Harris's team hit Kai Cenat to do a livestream, they need to be fired."
Charlamagne tha God says Kamala Harris's campaign should not copy Adin Ross' stream with Donald Trump by doing a collab with Kai Cenat
After saying the person who contacted Kai Cenat should be fired, Charlamagne tha God claimed that Kamala Harris's campaign should not let the internet dictate her media strategy. He also noted that the current VP does not need to go on a Twitch broadcast just because Donald Trump did a Kick stream with Adin Ross:
"Stop letting social media run her campaign. You saw Trump go on Adin Ross and you saw the attention that got, you saw the headlines that got. You saw social media start saying the vice president needs to go on Kai Cenat and you ran to go make that happen."
Charlamagne tha God also brought up a point that Cenat himself has highlighted, which is that the Twitch star is not interested in politics:
"Not even stopping to think, 'Is it organic? Does Kai Cenat eve care about politics?'"
After stating that Cenat may not be a Trump supporter, Charlamagne tha God explained why he thinks the Donald Trump X Adin Ross Kick stream worked:
"You know why the Trump Adin Ross stream worked? Because Adin Ross had real interest in Donald Trump and I do believe that politicians should absolutely meet people where they are but it still has to make sense. Let it be something organic."
The podcast host also claimed that Harris would look like she is copying Donald Trump if she went to Cenat. He then went on to talk about other influencers and podcasts that she could appear on to connect with a younger audience.
